Apple said to introduce first 5G iPhone with Intel 5G modem in 2020

According to to a latest report, Apple’s first 5G iPhone said to hit the market in 2020. The company is planning on using Intel’s 8161 5G modem chip in its 2020 phones. Intel will be the sole provider of iPhone modems. Intel is also said to be working on 8060 modems which will be used for prototyping and testing the 5G iPhone.

OPPO completes first 5G Internet access on a customized R15, will be one of the first to launch 5G smartphones in 2019

OPPO has announced that it has successfully completed 5G Internet access for the first time on a mobile phone, and said that it has laid a solid foundation for commercially launching 5G phones next year. Nokia’s Chennai factory to start manufacturing first 5G radio equipment in India

Nokia has announced that its manufacturing unit in Chennai in South India has started manufacturing 5G New Radio (NR) based on the 3GPP 5G New Radio Release 15 standard. The Chennai plant is one of the largest telecom equipment manufacturing plant in the country. It has recently reached 4 million unit annual production milestone of 2G, 3G and 4G units.
