GSM Association announces winners of Asia Mobile Awards 2009

You might have seen the nominations for the Asia Mobile Awards for 2009 and now The GSM Association has announced the winners at the Mobile Asia Congress Networking Party and Awards Celebration at Hong Kong’s famed Happy Valley Racecourse.

Which mobile platform do you love and why ?

mobile-platforms There are so many mobile platforms out there – Symbian , Android,  iPhone , Blackberry , Windows Mobile , Palm , Maemo and now Bada.  The handset market which was once dominated by Symbian and WinMo now has fierce competition from iPhone and Blackberry. Android is growing fast too. Maemo was was never destined to be used in a phone until the Nokia N900. Palm was almost out of the radar until the Palm Pre which came with the WebOS platform. Fujitsu Phone can swim and take pictures under Water

The Fujitsu F-08A works 1.5m under water and it clicks pics too . At the Fujitsu booth at Symbian Exchange last month, i saw this cool phone dipped inside a bowl of water. Its got a 5MP Camera , GSM/3G Network support, NFC,GPS , MobileTV and a Music player. I just put the camera in self timer mode and wanted to see if the camera worked fine. ( and the handset runs Symbian )

Share photos 100 times the speed of MMS with the Knocking iPhone App

I just spotted an app which makes sending a photo as a MMS over AT&T pointless.  The Kocking iPhone app developed by Pointy Heads Software in USA redefines photo sharing on the iPhone.
