Honor 7A with 5.7-inch FullView display, dual rear cameras, Android 8.0 Oreo announced

Huawei’s Honor brand just announced Honor 7A, the latest budget smartphone, as it had promised. It has a 5.77-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 430 with up to 3GB RAM and runs on  Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0 on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera to capture the depth information for portrait shots. There is also a base version with 13-megapixel single rear camera. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ get a price cut in India

Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in India back in April last year for Rs. 57,900 and Rs. 64,900, respectively. Xiaomi Mi TV 4C 50-inch 4K HDR TV with Dolby audio announced

After 55-inch 4K and 43-inch Full HD TVs in the Mi TV 4C series, Xiaomi has introduced new 50-inch 4K HDR TV in the TV 4C line-up in China. Other than the screen size, most of the specs are similar to the 55-inch model, including PatchWall, a UI layer on top of the Android OS that’s based on deep learning AI technology that can curate content based on recommendations, Dolby and DTS Audio and Mi Remote Control with gesture controls and Speech Recognition for voice control. MIUI 9.5 brings full-screen gestures to devices with 18:9 aspect ratio – Here’s how to enable it

Xiaomi was one of the manufacturers which opted for capacitive navigation keys in favor to utilize maximum screen for display, but with 18:9 devices Xiaomi had to ditch the physical keys for on-screen navigation keys as devices with new aspect ratio have minimal bezels at front. Android manufacturers have started adopting gesture support after the launch of iPhone X and Xiaomi doesn’t want to remain behind in the race. Xiaomi introduced the Full Screen gestures with MIUI Global Beta ROM back in January but till that time Mi MIX 2 was the only device launched in India with 18:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi Mi Band Strap in Green and Orange colors now available in India

After the launch of  Mi Band HRX Edition last year in India, Xiaomi started selling the Mi Band Strap in Blue color. Today it has launched the strap in Green and Orange colors as well. Even though Xiaomi mentions that the strap is for HRX Edition, it is also compatible with the Mi Band 2 as well, which he company started selling again in the country from last month. Xiaomi Mi Music gets Hungama Music Integration

A couple of weeks ago Xiaomi integrated content from streaming apps like Hungama Play, Youtube, Hotstar, Amazon Prime Videos into its Mi Video app. Content from Hungama is displayed on the homepage of Mi Video app as Xiaomi had made an investment of $25 Million back in 2016. Following it, Xiaomi has now integrated Hungama Music into Mi Music app. The update for Mi Music was rolled out with MIUI Global Beta 8.3.29 ROM update yesterday. Xiaomi Redmi 5 Camera Samples

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 5 smartphone in India earlier this month. We recently brought you the unboxing and first impressions of the smartphone, here we have the camera samples from the phone. The Redmi  5 has a 12-megapixel rear camera with 5-element lens, f/2.2 aperture and large 1.25μm pixel size, same as the Redmi Note 5, but it has a single LED flash compared to dual-tone LED flash. It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and selfie flash. How to install Android 8.1 Oreo on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro

Earlier this month, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 in China which was launched as Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. The Enjoy 8 and Enjoy 8e have HD+ 18:9 screens, are powered by Snapdragon 430 SoCs, have a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary camera. Moto G6 Plus with 5.93-inch FHD+ display, 6GB RAM and Moto G6, Moto G6 Play renders, detailed specifications surface

Details about the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play surfaced earlier this year. The Moto G6 got certified in China. Now all the three smartphones have been listed on an Hungarian site with images and full specifications. This reveals 18:9 display and front LED flash for all the smartphones, dual rear cameras and front-mounted fingerprint sensor for the G6 and G6 Plus and rear mounted fingerprint sensor on the Moto logo on the Moto G6 Play.
