Huawei just unveiled P20, its latest flagship smartphone at an event in Paris, as it had promised. It packs a 5.8-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with a notch, is powered by an Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 970 10nm SoC with i7 co-processor, dedicated neural network processing unit and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Emotion UI 8.1 on top as well as support for Google AR Core. It has Leica dual-lens camera with 12-megapixel RGB sensor, 20-megapixel monochrome sensor and 2x Hybrid Zoom, dual-tone LED flash and optical image stabilization (OIS) and Huawei’s own dual ISP. It also has a 24-megapixel front-facing camera with AI beautification. 3D portrait lighting and support for face unlock. Huawei is on the verge of introducing its flagship smartphones early next week, and before the official launch, the P20 Pro and P20 have surfaced online revealing some of the details about the flagships. After several leaks we now have the press renders of the Huawei P20, P20 Lite and P20 Pro smartphones that will be announced officially later this month, thanks to @evleaks. This also shows camera specifications of the phones and display notch for all where the earpiece, sensors and the front camera are present. The fingerprint sensor is present on the front for the P20 and the P20 Pro, but it is located on the back on the P20 Lite.

Huawei has sent out media invitations for an event in Paris on March 27th where the company is expected to introduce the P20 and P20 Plus along with a lite variant, just as expected. The invite reads ” SEE MOOORE with A.I.” There are three ‘0’ in the background of the teaser image giving us a hint that the P20 series will actually have triple rear cameras. Huawei was supposed to introduce the P20 at the MWC 2018 event later this month, but the company backed out and is now launching at a later date on March 27th in Paris falling in-line with the reports.
