MediaTek Helio M70 7nm 5G Modem with up to 5Gbps download speeds announced, coming in 2019

MediaTek during the Computex 2018 last week in Taiwan silently introduced its M70, the latest 5G modem based on TSMC’s 7nm process incorporating EUV technology. The company said that it has collaborated with NOKIA, NTT Docomo, China Mobile, Huawei, and other vendors. It supports 5G NR (New Radio) and will meet the latest 3GPP Release 15 standard specification (complete specification released in June) With 5Gbps transfer rate. Moto Camera updated with Google Lens, YouTube Live, Google Photos integration, new UI and more

Motorola has updated its camera app to version 7.2.19.8 that brings several new features including Google Lens support inside the camera app that brings object and landmark recognition, but this simply launches the Google app. This was announced by Google at the I/O, and Sony smartphones got the feature recently.

Sony Xperia Ear Duo wireless headphones with Google Assistant and Siri integration starts rolling out globally

Sony at the MWC 2018 introduced the Xperia Ear Duo wireless headphones with noise-cancelling and Google Assistant and Siri integration. It went on pre-order in the U.S. back in February and went on sale lat month. Today the company has announced that the headphones have started rolling out through Xperia Store Online in select markets including UK, Ireland, France, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria and Belgium. Samsung Galaxy J3 2018 and Galaxy J7 2018 announced

Samsung has introduced 2018 editions of Galaxy J3 and Galaxy J7 smartphones in the U.S. The phones come with 5-inch and 5.5-inch HD displays, respectively. The J3 comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 5-megapixel front camera. The company did not reveal any other specifications of the smartphone, but a recent Geekbench listing reveals that the phone will be powered by Quad-Core Exynos 7570 14nm SoC with 2GB RAM, but the battery capacity is still a mystery. OPPO PAFM00 / PAFT00 with 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, dual rear cameras gets certified, likely Find X

OPPO is all set to introduce its flagship Find X smartphone at an event in Paris on June 19th. Now two new OPPO smartphones with model numbers PAFM00 and PAFT00 have been certified by TENAA in China that will likely be the Find X since it has flagship specifications including a 6.3-inch  Full HD+ AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 845 SoC, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

BlackBerry KEY2 with 4.5-inch FHD+ 3:2 display, QWERTY keyboard, Snapdragon 660, 6GB RAM, 12MP dual rear cameras, Speed Key announced

Xiaomi introduced the MIUI 10 globally at the Redmi Y2 launch event in India today. We already know that MIUI 10 includes performance improves, better full screen experience with gestures, better Recents, Nature sounds, Ambient noises and AI Portrait mode. As usual, the company announced new MIUI 10 features for the Indian users that includes option to scan Paytm QR codes directly in the Camera app, Progressive web app support, use quick menus in Messaging and option to listen to songs and videos in your native language in Mi Music and Mi Video.

MIUI 10 Global Beta roll out begins mid-June – List of Xiaomi devices getting it

Xiaomi at the Redmi Y2 launch event in India announced the global roll out details of the MIUI 10, as expected. The company said that the global roll out of MIUI 10 Beta will begin June 14th and registration for it begins tomorrow, June 8th. There will be roll out for multiple devices.
