Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue

Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue received DLNA certification earlier this month, now evleaks has outed an official press image of the device. The MediaPad 7 Vogue was already mentioned back in an official MWC press release last month. It would come with a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS mult-touch screen display, similar to the Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite that was launched in India last November. Even thought the display size and the resolution are similar, the MediaPad 7 Vouge would come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and it would be powered by a 1.2 GHz / 1.5 GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor based on the the model. Sony Xperia L with 4.3-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, Android 4.1 announced

Sony Mobile has also announced a mid-range device, the Xperia L along with the Xperia SP. It has a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor and also has a dedicated camera key. It is capable of recording 720p HD videos. It also comes with a VGA front-facing camera. It has a LED notification light below the display. Looks like this would replace the Xperia J that was launched last year.

Sony Mobile has announced the Xperia SP, a new smartphone in the Xperia line-up. It comes with a 4.6-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD Reality Display with with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960Pro processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a colour-changing transparent element with customizable illuminations at the bottom. It also comes with 4G LTE support in select markets. It has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor and a VGA front-facing camera. Micromax launched the A35 Bolt, the company’s first Android smartphone in the Bolt series, last month. Micromax is now getting ready to release the second phone in the series, the A51 Bolt with a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) display. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and packs a 2 MP rear camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera similar to the A35. It is powered by a 832 MHz Broadcom processor and has 3G support. Lava International has launched 3 new entry-level Android smartphones, Iris 349, Iris 351 and the Iris 355 in the  Iris range. All these phones come with a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, dual SIM support and run on Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread). These are powered by a 1 GHz single-core processor and have a 2 MP fixed focus camera. Both the Iris 349 and the Iris 351 have 2G EDGE support, and the Iris 355 also comes with 3G support. Karbonn A6 and A3 now available for Rs. 5390 and Rs. 3600, Karbonn A4 coming soon

Karbonn launched the Karbonn A6 and A3 are now available from online retailers Snapdeal and Flipkart in India. The Karbonn A4, which lies between both these phones is listed on Flipkart, but no details about the pricing or the availability yet. All these phones come with dual SIM support, but lack 3G support. The Karbonn A6  comes with a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capactitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The Karbonn A4 has a 4-inch (320 x 480 Pixels) display and the Karbonn A3 comes with a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 Pixels). Both the A4 and the A3 run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Xolo X1000 hands-on


Xolo X1000, the company’s latest Intel Medfield-powered Android smartphone was launched at an event in Goa, India yesterday. We brought you the hands-on photo gallery of the device from the event yesterday, here is the hands-on video of the device. The phone has good build quality, and the 4.7 inch HD Edge-to-edge curved glass display makes the device makes it stand out from other devices in the price range.  It is powered by a 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2480 processor with a 400 MHz PowerVR SGX540 GPU and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), but Xolo has promised Jelly Bean update for the device in coming months.

It packs a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display at 441ppi, powered by a 1.9 GHz Quad-Core Processor / 1.6 GHz Octa-Core Processor (depending on the markets) and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, Full HD video recording and a 2MP front-facing camera. It has unique features including Smart Pause , Smart Scroll, S Translator, S Travel (Trip Advisor), S Voice Drive, S Health and lots more. It also has dual camera (Dual Shot / Dual Recording/ Dual Video Call).

It comes with a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touch screen display at 312 ppi, powered by 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2480 processor with a 400 MHz PowerVR SGX540 GPU and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).  It comes with a 8 MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1080p video recording and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. It also has Full HD video playback. It doesn’t come with the Intel Atom Clover Trail+ processor as we guessed last week. LG Optimus G Pro to get Smart Video feature with eye recognition to control video playback


LG has announced that the Optimus G Pro would get new features in a new Value Pack upgrade including Smart Video and Smart Camera features. Smart Video recognizes the position of the viewer’s eyes and automatically plays or stops the video when the viewer’s eyes are no longer focused on the smartphone display. LG unveiled the Optimus G Pro last month, that went on sale in Korea at the end of last month.
