Micromax A110Q Canvas 2 Plus, successor of the A110 Canvas 2 has surfaced on the official Micromax website. It has a 5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen IPS display similar to the A110 Canvas 2, but this runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) as rumored and powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor. Other feaures are similar to the A116 including a 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED Flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Advantage Computers India (Adcom) has launched 6 new smartphones, A-530 HD, A-500, A-450, A-430, A-400, A-350 in the Adcom Thunder Smart Phone Series. The Adcom A-350 and the A-400 run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and other run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The A-350 is an entry-level smartphone that has a 3.5-inch HVGA screen and powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and the high-end A-530 HD has a 5.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display and powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. Sony Xperia L Benchmarks


Sony Xperia L, a mid-range Android smartphone in the Xperia series went on sale in India earlier this month. We brought you the unboxing of the device earlier this week. Here we have benchmarks of the device. It has a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8930 CPU with Adreno 305 GPU and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Xolo A800 gets the Android Jelly Bean update


Xolo has released the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the A800. The phone was released back in December last year running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Xolo has mentioned it as Android 4.2 on the Facebook page, but it’s actually Android 4.1.1, which comes pre-loaded on Xolo A1000 and the Q800. Xolo is all set to release the Q1000, the company’s flagship Android smartphone in the Q Core series. The phone has surfaced on online retail site Flipkart. It would come with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display at 295 PPI similar to the A1000 that was launched earlier this year. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a  8MP auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash and a BSI (Back Side Illumination) sensor for low-light imaging and a 1.2 MP front-facing camera. Idea Cellular has launched two new Android smartphones, Idea ID-920 and Idea Aurus III. The Idea ID 920 is the successor of the ID 918 that was launched last year and the Aurus III is the successor of the Aurus II that was launched last month. The ID 920 has a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 2.3 ( Gingerbread). The Aurus III has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Both these smartphones are powered by a 1 GHz processor and comes with Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) support. Micromax A110Q screenshot leaks, to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean?

There were rumors about the Micromax A110Q for the past week few week, now the first screenshot of the phone’s about page has leaked by an anonymous tipster to the MMXNewscaster. It reveals that the phone would run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Build number and custom build version matches the build.prop file from the installer package that leaked recently.  This doesn’t reveal much details other than these details. Opera 14 for Android out of beta, brings new UI, Off-Road mode and more

Opera 14 for Android is finally out of beta and is available from the Google Play. Opera released the version 14 beta back in March that brought the new WebKit engine replacing Opera’s own Presto engine. The new Opera browser is based on Chromium 26 engine but the  Chromium/Blink-based browser technology is not available yet. Opera says that it would be available in future as they plan to stay closely in sync with the Chromium development cycle with frequent updates. It packs a 3.2-megapixel rear camera, but it  lacks a front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support with dual standby and has 2G (EDGE) connectivity. It has dual SIM support with dual standby and is just 7.9 mm thick. The in-built Digital Theatre System (DTS) Sound offers enhanced multimedia audio experience and OTA (Over the Air) function allows for software upgrades. It has a 8-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. It has a slim form factor with curved corners and has matte finish on the back. It comes with range of pre-loaded applications such as WeChat, Ebook reader  and more with HD movies and HD games.

iBall has launched the Slide Q9703, the company’s latest tablet in the Slide Performance series. It has a 9.7-inch (2048 x 1536 pixels) HD IPS 10 multi-touch retina display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with PowerVR SGX544 MP2 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel auto focus camera on the back and a  2-megapixel front facing camera. We reviewed the Zync Quad 9.7 that comes with similar features, but the Zync tablet is cheaper. This also includes 4K video player that lets you play videos at 4K resolution (4,096 × 2,304 pixels) on the tablet.
