Samsung launched the Galaxy E7 smartphone in the E series in India last month for Rs. 23,000.  We brought you the unboxing and the photo gallery of the smartphone recently, here we have the benchmarks. It powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 400 MHz, similar to other A and E series smartphones.  It has a 2GB RAM, 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Acer One 10-inch Windows 8.1 2-in-1 launched in India for Rs. 19999

Acer has launched Acer One S1001, the company’s latest 2-in-1 hybrid device in India that can be used as a table or as a laptop with its  latch-less keyboard dock that has a in-built 500GB HDD. It has a 10-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor, has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. Acer has partnered with Amazon.in to sell it India. LG F60 Dual SIM LTE smartphone now available in India for Rs. 14200

The LG F60 (D392) LTE smartphone was unveiled back in October last year and appeared on the official LG India website later that month for Rs. 15,000 (MRP). Now Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom reports that the smartphone is available from retail stores in India for Rs. 14200. The F60 packs a 4.5-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). HTC One M8 gets Android 5.0 Lollipop update in India

HTC has finally started rolling out Android 5.0.1 (Lollipop) update for the HTC One (M8) users in India. It started rolling out to the update for unlocked smartphones in several countries few weeks back. Recently HTC said the One M7 and One M8 will miss its 90 day Android Lollipop promise since their carrier versions of the One (M8) and One (M7) will not meet 90 day goal, which is February 1st. Motorola sold record 10 million smartphones in Q4 2014

Lenovo today reported $14.1 billion revenue for the financial year that ended December 31, 2014. Since Motorola Mobility is now a part of Lenovo, it announced that Motorola sold over 10 million smartphones in the quarter for the first time. This is a 118% increase compared to the same quarter the previous year. Motorola added US$1.9 billion to the total Mobile Business Group’s revenues that includes products from the Motorola investment, Lenovo-branded mobile phone business, Android tablets and TVs, said Lenovo. Snapdragon 810 to power new devices releasing in coming weeks and months: Qualcomm

Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC was announced back in April last year. We had seen some devices such as LG G Flex 2 and Xiaomi Mi Note Pro with the Snapdragon SoC. Today Qualcomm has announced that the Snapdragon 810 will power devices that will launch in coming weeks and months. Several partners such as Motorola Mobility, Sony Mobile, OPPO, Microsoft, LG and Xiaomi have praised Qualcomm. Meru Cabs adds Google Now integration

Meru Cabs has introduced that it has added Google Now integration to its app. Google updated the Google Search app to support Google Now cards from third party apps recently. Meru Cabs becomes the first cab service in India to integrate with the Google app. The Google Now integration will send passengers reminders for cab pickups, alerting them in case they wish to avail of a cab depending on their location, as well as other such information through Now cards within the Google app for Android, says the company. HTC A55 with 5.5-inch Quad HD display, 20MP camera rumored for Feb 2015

HTC is working on a top-end smartphone in the Desire series codenamed A55, according to @upleaks. According to the website, the smartphone codenamed HTC Hima_Ace is cancelled and is replaced by the A55. It is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and will be powered by a MediaTek MT6795 64-bit Octa-Core SoC with built-in 4G LTE and not a Snapdragon SoC seen on latest top-end Desire series smartphones. It is also rumored to feature a 20-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 13-megapixel or a UltraPixel front-facing camera. Lenovo launched the A6000 smartphone with 4G support last month for Rs. 6,999. We brought you the unboxing and the photo gallery of the smartphone recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The phone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.21GHz per core, slightly faster than 1.19 GHz in the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2, A series and E series smartphones. Samsung started changing its track from polycarbonate build, changed its usual design language and finally launched the Galaxy Alpha smartphone with metal chassis, but it still had a plastic back panel. It finally came up with the A series at the end of last year with all metal unibody design The Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 were launched in India last month. The Galaxy A5 is the top-end model in the A series that is currently available in India. Samsung even introduced the Galaxy A7 with a larger 1080p display, but it is not available in India yet. According to Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom, the smartphone is priced at Rs. 10,990. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display based on one glass solution (OGS) technology and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), similar to the iBall Andi5S Cobalt3 that was launched last year, but this is powered by a slightly slower 1.4 GHz Octa-Core processor.
