Qualcomm introduces Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Mobile Platform


Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, the company’s latest mid-range 5G SoC, as the successor to last year’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3.

Unlike the predecessor, this is a major upgrade that uses 4nm process node, a first for the 6s-series, and promises 36% improved CPU and 59% faster GPU compared to the predecessor.

This also brings Snapdragon Elite Gaming features like Variable Rate Shading and Qualcomm Game Quick Touch, camera capabilities such as 200 MP photo capture and 2K video resolution, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and 144Hz FHD+ display support.

Qualcomm has not yet announced which devices the chip will power, but it is expected that brands such as Xiaomi, OPPO, and moto will launch new phones based on this platform.
