Google launches free RailWire Wi-Fi in 9 more stations across India

Indian Railways, RailTel and Google launched free WiFi at the Mumbai Central station earlier this year. Today Google announced that RailWire Wi-Fi is now available in 9 more train stations – Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Ernakulam Jn, Kacheguda, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam in India. Google said that Mumbai Central’s free Wi-Fi now serves more than 100,000 people every week, and the launch of Wi-Fi in these stations will offer access to over 1.5 million Indians every day. Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Guruvayoor and Kottayam, now in 150 towns in Kerala

Airtel launched its 4G LTE services in Kochi, Kerala back in August last year. Today the company has launched it in Guruvayoor and Kottayam, taking the number of its 4G towns in Kerala to 150. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the cities. For existing Airtel customers, the company is offering a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G. Google Play Music Podcast expected to launch on April 18

Google had announced back in October last year that it will be bringing Podcasts to Play Music soon and Podcasters can start uploading their shows to Play Music via a new portal. Even though the feature went live only for some users few weeks back, now NPR has sent out an email to members announcing that their podcasts will be available on Google Play Music, which will launch podcasts next Monday, April 18th. Meizu m3 with 5-inch HD display, Octa-Core processor, 4G LTE gets certified in China

Meizu introduced the m3 note in China recently, which is coming to India soon. It is gearing to launch its budget m3 smartphone, successor of last year’s m2 smartphone soon. The smartphone that has been certified by China’s TENAA reveals a similar plastic body, 5-inch HD screen, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as its predecessor, but this will be powered by an Octa-Core processor and a slightly bigger 2800mAh battery. LG K7 LTE and K10 LTE ‘Made in India’ smartphones launched for Rs. 9500 and Rs. 13500

LG today launched K7 LTE and K10 LTE smartphones in India with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) and VoWiFi (Voice Over Wi-Fi) support, as it had promised. These are the first LG smartphones to be made at its Noida plant in India and these were launched launched by telecom and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. LG aims to make 1 million smartphones in its new plant this year. The company said that the VoLTE and VoWiFi features will enable faster transmission of data and voice. Both these smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, run Android 5.1 (Lollipop), come with dual SIM support, have rear mounted power button and volume rockers and feature a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

HTC Desire 828 dual sim 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant now available for Rs. 19990

HTC launched the Desire 828 dual sim in India back in December last year. Now the smartphone is available in 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage variant, according to Mahesh Telecom. The original version has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Other specifications are the same, including a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 SoC, 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), Ultrapixel front-facing camera and 4G LTE support. Google released developer preview images for Android ‘N’, the next major Android release last month, ahead of Google I/O 2016 in May. The update brought Multi-window support, Notification enhancements, Data Saver, Background optimizations and more new features. Now it has released the Preview 2 for compatible Nexus devices. This update brings several new features, including Unicode 9 emojis and also fixes few bugs that were present in the first release.
