HTC has launched Desire 628 dual sim, it’s latest smartphone in the Desire series in India. It was announced last month, packs a 5-inch HD screen, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with HTC’s own Sense UI on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has dual front-facing BoomSound speakers. HTC has launched One X9 dual sim, the company’s latest smartphone along with the HTC 10 and few other HTC phones. It was announced last year, packs a  5.5-inch 1080p display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, BSI sensor, optical image stabilization (OIS) that can detect shake in 0.125 milliseconds, 4K video recording and RAW image capture. HTC just launched the flagship HTC 10 smartphone in India, as it had promised. It was announced last month, packs a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with HTC Sense 8.0 UI, has a 12 Ultrapixel camera with Laser auto focus,OIS, f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS.

Lava International has launched A79, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘A Series’ It has a 5.5-inch FWVGA screen, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera that also has LED flash for capturing brighter images even in low lighting conditions. Moto Mods modular back plates and Droid 2016 / Moto Z images surface

Moto Z Style and Moto Z Play smartphones will be announced at the Lenovo Tech World on June 9 in the new Moto Z series. Now the modules that are called Moto Mods have surfaced in images, thanks to @evleaks. The image shows camera grip with flash and optical zoom, but others are not visible clearly. Other mods could be stereo speakers and battery pack and there will be six mods in total. According to earlier rumors, these are connected magnetically and the protruding camera lens will be flush when they are attached.

OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X get a $50 price cut ahead of OnePlus 3 launch

OnePlus has slashed the price of both the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X smartphones, ahead of the launch of the flagship OnePlus 3 smartphone next month. Both the phones have received a $50 price cut, so these are now available for $299 and $199, respectively. This is the second price cut for the OnePlus 2, which got a $40 permanent price cut earlier this year from the launch price of $389. Xiaomi Mi Drone announced, comes in 1080p and 4K versions

Xiaomi today introduced Mi Drone, it’s first UAV in an online event in China. It is made by Mi Ecosystem’s company Flymi and the CEO of the company is Cai Wei who has 7 years of experience dealing with drone. The Drone has a compact lightweight body since it is made of polycarbonate and carbon fiber. The high-end version has a 12-megapixel Sony Exmor R BSI sensor, f/2.8 aperture, 6P lenses, 94-degree field of view, three-axis image stabilization with the gimbal and has 4K video recording at 30 fps and RAW image capture and has transmission distance of up to 2 kilometers. The other version has a 16.35MP CMOS sensor with f /2.6 aperture, 104-degree field of view, up to 1080p video recording at 60fps and has transmission distance of up to 1 kilometer. Microsoft announces 1850 job cuts in smartphone business

Microsoft Corporation today announced that it plans to cut 1,850 jobs to streamline the company’s smartphone hardware business. Last year it cut 7,800 jobs from its phone division to refocus its phone efforts, after 18,000 layoffs the previous year that affected the workforce adopted via Nokia. The company recently announced that it will sell its feature phone business to FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of Hon Hai/Foxconn Technology Group and and HMD Global for $350 million.
