Global smartphone market shipped 1.35 billion units in 2021, records 5.7% growth

The global smartphone market witnessed an overall growth of 5.7% in 2021 when compared to 2020, after shipping a total of 1.35 billion units. However, the market did witness a a decline in shipments during Q4 of 2021, shipping a total of 362.4 million phones, which calculates to 3.2% YoY decline.

ASUS TUF F15 (2021) Review

The ASUS TUF series of laptops is well known for offering good performance and strong build quality, but with reasonable prices. MediaTek and AMD unveil AMD RZ600 Series Wi-Fi 6E Modules for laptops and PCs

AMD has partnered with MediaTek to unveil their newest Wi-Fi solution, called the AMD RZ600 Series Wi-Fi 6E modules. It features the MediaTek Filogic 330P chipset inside and is designed to power the next-generation AMD Ryzen-series laptop and desktop PCs starting 2022 onwards.

India PC market records 30% YoY in Q3 2021, shipped 4.5 million units: IDC

According to a new report from the International Data Corporation (IDC), the Indian traditional PC market, which includes desktops, notebooks, and workstations, shipped a total of 4.5 million units during Q3 2021. This calculates to a growth of 30% YoY, and the top 3 companies were HP, Dell and Lenovo.

Qualcomm to introduce 5G capable laptop SoCs to compete with Apple’s M-series

Yesterday during their Investor Day 2021,  ARM-based chip designer Qualcomm unveiled their project plans to make a powerful ARM-based processor for a PC that would rival Apple’s M-series silicon. The company also announced that their supply of 5G modems to Apple will cut down to  just 20% next year.
