Yesterday, Samsung introduced their flagship Galaxy S22 series and the Galaxy Tab S8 series during their Unpacked event. During it, Samsung introduced a number of new software features that will first roll out to the Galaxy S22 series, including the ability to live share your display in Google Duo, integrated Voice Access capabilities and more.
In 2021, the Indian smartwatch market was highly successful as it witnessed a record growth of 274% YoY. Among the nearly 80 brands that are competing in the market, Noise and boAt had the highest market share, with 27% and 26% respectively.
Google has a released a new feature called “Journeys” that is designed to help users quickly resume their browsing activities that will be grouped by topic. Along with this, Chrome is also introducing more Chrome Actions and new widgets for Android smartphones and tablets.

Apple has announced a new finance-focused feature on the iPhone called Tap to Pay that is designed for merchants in the US. It will enable small businesses to large retailers to use their iPhone to complete transactions using Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets with a simple tap.

NVIDIA’s plans to acquire ARM Ltd from its owner, Softbank Group Corp. has collapsed due to regulatory hurdles. In December 2021, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) sued to block the acquisition, and along with the added pressure from regulatory bodies in other countries, NVIDIA and Softbank Group have decided to terminate the agreement.

Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy Watch4 series of smartwatches that brings a couple of new features and improvements. These include an advanced interval training program, a new sleep coaching program, a new body composition insights, and of course new upgraded watch faces.
One of the biggest pollutants in our oceans are plastics. These not only include the plastics that we discard into the ocean directly, but also include the tons of fishing nets that are abandoned every year. Meta has released their earnings report for the last quarter 2021, along with earnings for the entire 2021 fiscal year. The company recorded $117.9 billion revenue during 2021, which is a 37% YoY growth, and the net income was recorded at $39.37 billion, which is growth of 35% YoY. In Q4 2021, they recorded $33.67 billion in revenue, growing 20% YoY, while the net income was $10.2 billion, declining 8% YoY.
The latest version of Google’s Messages app has revealed a couple new changes that may possibly arrive in a future update. Google is reportedly looking to change the UI in the app to forgo the overflow menu in favour of a navigation drawer instead, and there might be a new Google Photos media upload feature.
