boAt’s ‘Nirvana Ion’ clocks over Rs. 200 Crores in Annual Run Rate


boAt has shared that its ‘Nirvana Ion’ Bluetooth wireless earbuds, developed in-house, are achieving an Annual Run Rate (ARR) of over Rs. 200 crores.

This positions the ‘Nirvana Ion’ as one of India’s most successful personal audio products (TWS). The Airdopes Flex 454 ANC has also contributed to this success, collectively generating over Rs. 350 crores in ARR.

The success of the boAt Nirvana Ion is attributed to innovative design and approaches by boAt Labs, collaborating with global tech partners and suppliers. The product prioritizes aesthetics, innovation, and quality standards to minimize inefficiencies.

In-House R&D at boAt Labs

At boAt Labs, a dedicated team of 80+ engineers from diverse backgrounds worked on creating indigenous TWS form factors like Nirvana Ion and Airdopes Flex 454. The in-house R&D facility took control of hardware, firmware, and app platforms, ensuring top-notch UI/UX design.

The team also focused on sound optimization, integrating personalized sound, spatial sound, and HiFi DSP for crystal-clear bionic sound effects. boAt’s vision from the beginning was to bring global tech to India, achieved through strong partnerships with tech companies from the USA, Germany, France, Israel, and Sweden.

The ‘Automation Test Jig’ (ATJ) setup, exclusively designed by boAt Labs, guarantees superior quality and reliability for products like Nirvana Ion and Flex 454. This R&D investment allowed boAt to democratize features like in-ear detection, ANC, multi-device connectivity, Fast Pair, and app support for products like Flex 454.
