The partnership will make Boxer’s email app the default for the forthcoming Cyanogen Os 12 update, and it will be pre-installed as the email client on devices that ship with Cyanogen OS going forward. The new Boxer-based Email app offers a combined inbox, support for Gmail labels, push notifications, a conversation view, built-in task management, and integration with Evernote, Dropbox, Google Drive, and more.

“The level of customization with the Boxer-powered Email app gives users more choice and customization features when it comes to managing their email, tasks, and host of productivity features. Our partnership with Boxer brings a number of enhanced inbox features that our users will find very compelling,”

said David Herman, VP of Product, Cyanogen Inc in a company blog.

Other premium features like exchange support, multiple accounts, and quick reply will also be present on the email app. Users can even customize LED colors according to email accounts as well as gestures. They can create a task, set a due date, priority level, and even set an assignee right from their inbox. Cyanogen says that devices with Google’s services will still have Gmail pre-installed on them.
