Yesterday Xiaomi confirmed that the Mi 6X that will be announced on April 25th will feature 20-megapixel cameras on the front and back. Today it has shared images of the smartphone in Blue, Pink, Red, Black and Gold colors. This also shows sleek metal body and a flash for the front camera.

Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 5 Pro in India back in February, despite launching in Feb 2018 the device runs on MIUI 9.2 on top of Android Nougat 7.1.1. The company spokesperson already confirmed the Oreo update in a tweet but didn’t share any timeline for the update roll-out. However, last month MIUI Beta ROM was leaked and surprisingly it was based on Android Oreo 8.1 along with Treble support. Last week Xiaomi scheduled an event on April 25th. Now the company has confirmed that it will indeed unveil the Mi 6X at the event. It also said that it will feature 20-megapixel cameras on the front and back. The phone is rumored to feature a 20-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 8-megapixel camera.

It has a 5.99-inch FHD+ display, is powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC with up to 8GB RAM, liquid cooling to keep the phone cool when gaming by reducing the CPU’s core temperature by up to 8-degree. It has a dedicated One-touch SHARK key that provides immersive gaming experience. You can use the fingerprint sensor on the front to quickly access several features such as silent mode, DND and more when gaming. There is a glowing logo on the back of the phone.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was amongst best selling devices launched in 2016, Xiaomi launched it running on Android Lollipop despite launching in March 2016 and later in December 2016 rolled out Android Marshmallow update. Redmi Note 3 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Mobile Platform and devices like Sony Xperia X with the same processor received Android Oreo, even Xiaomi’s own Mi Max (SD650 variant) runs on Android Nougat but Redmi Note 3 didn’t get same treatment as Mi Max despite having similar hardware but users can still enjoy the latest android on their Redmi Note 3, thanks to the awesome custom ROM developer community. Now the has scheduled an event on April 25th to introduced a new Mi series smartphone, which could be Mi 6X that was certified by TENAA recently. Xiaomi’s Black Shark is all set to introduce a gaming smartphone tomorrow, April 13th. Rear image of the phone already surfaced in an image, now a brief video has surfaced in China showing off both the front and back. This shows a standard smartphone design with fingerprint sensor on the front, dual rear cameras and a glowing light on the back.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset which is the successor to the Snapdragon 660 has not yet been announced officially and we keep hearing about the chipset every now and then. It is reported that the the chipset will be manufactured on a 10nm process and feature Adreno 615 GPU.
