After teasers, Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of Redmi 15 5G, the company’s next 5G smartphone in India on August 19th. It has confirmed 7000mAh battery and Snapdragon chip for the phone.
The company says that it will be the first phone in the segment with 7000mAh battery that uses silicon-carbon technology, and promises 80% of battery health even after 4 years. It will offer 13.5 hours of standby in 1% hibernation mode, says Xiaomi. It will support 18W reverse wired charging.
This will be the slimmest 7000mAh battery phone, says Xiaomi. It has confirmed 6.9-inch FHD+ 144Hz screen, Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, 50MP rear camera along with secondary camera. The phone will come in Midnight Black, Frosted White and Sandy Purple colours.
Earlier rumours revealed 8MP front camera, 33W fast charging and IP64 ratings for dust and splash resistance.
The Redmi 15 5G is said to be priced at RM 699 (USD 165 / Rs. 14,305 approx.) for the 8GB + 256GB model in Malaysia. We can expect 6GB + 128GB model as well.
The Redmi 15 5G will be sold on Amazon.in, in addition to mi.com and offline stores after the launch.
