Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G with S Pen, 10.5-inch WQXGA Super AMOLED display, dual rear cameras announced

Samsung has announced Galaxy Tab S6 5G, which is the 5G version of the Galaxy Tab S6 that was introduced last year. It is powered by a Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 SoC with Qualcomm X50 5G modem. Other specifications are similar including a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED WQXGA screen, quad-stereo speakers tuned by AKG by HARMAN, in-display fingerprint scanner, 8-megapixel primary camera along with a 5-megapixel 123-degree ultra-wide camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. HUAWEI MatePad Pro with 10.8-inch Quad HD+ display, Kirin 990, M-Pencil, in-screen camera, wireless charging announced

HUAWEI today introduced MatePad Pro, the company’s latest top-end tablet in China, as it had promsied. It features a 10.8-inch QHD+ (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with 90% screen-to-body ratio with 4.9mm slim frame, is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 990 SoC and runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10 on top. It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP in-screen front camera. It comes with Quad-channel Quad speakers, Huawei Histen sound support, are Harman Kardon audio certified.

HUAWEI Mate Pad series with dual rear cameras, in-screen front camera, stylus support to be announced on November 25

After leaks, HUAWEI CEO Richard Yu has confirmed that the company will introduce the Mate Pad tablet series at an event in Shanghai, China on November 25th. Image of the MatePad Pro tablet that surfaced recently revealed a punch-hole screen, stylus support and a keyboard accessory. There could be normal and Pro versions of the tablet. LG has just announced its new G Pad 5 10.1-inch tablet in South Korea. It is the successor to LG G Pad 4 and the G Pad 5 10.1-inch comes in WiFi-only and an optional 4G LTE variant.

Worldwide tablet shipments grow by 1.9% in Q3 2019, Apple leads with 31.4% share: IDC

The International Data Corporation (IDC) has reported that tablet shipments for Q3 2019 worldwide have seen growth with 37.6 million units shipped globally, resulting in a year-on-year growth of 1.9%. The top five companies that shipped tablets are Apple, Amazon.com, Samsung, Huawei and Lenovo.

Apple introduces new iPad with 10.2-inch Retina Display, India price starts at Rs. 29900

Apple at its special event announced its seventh-generation iPad with a larger 10.2-inch Retina Display. It has support for the full-sized Smart Keyboard, Apple Pencil support, A10 Fusion chip, advanced cameras and sensors. It features an enclosure made from 100 percent recycled aluminum with the same strength, durability and finish as the aluminum in all Apple products. The LTE version has Gigabit-class LTE connectivity. It still has Touch ID below the display.

After the launch of 3T 8 last year, Alcatel has launched 3T 10, the company’s latest tablet in India. It packs a 10-inch (1280 x 800 Pixels) display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT8765B processor, runs on Android Pie, has a 2-megapixel front and rear cameras. It has 4G VoLTE connectivity via SIM and support for voice calling through headset or speaker. Lenovo Tab M8 with 8-inch HD/FHD display, metal body and Tab M7 announced

Lenovo has introduced new Tab M7 and Tab M8, two new tablets in the M series ahead of IFA 2019 next week. The Tab M7 has a 7-inch WSVGA screen and the Tab M8 comes in HD and Full HD options. These have built-in Kid’s Mode 3.0 that offers rich and customized kids’ content for children under 12 years of age. “Kids who pick up the tablet will be switched directly to their kids’ account, which features a child-friendly interface with access to games, built-in applications, videos, audio and books that offer educational content in 44 languages,” said the company.

Worldwide tablet shipments decline 5% YoY in Q2 2019; Apple, Samsung continue to lead: IDC

Recently, International Data Corporation(IDC) published a report on the worldwide smartphone shipments during Q2 2019. Similarly, now IDC has published a report on the global tablet shipments and shows a decline of 5.0% year over year during the second quarter of 2019.

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab S6, successor of last year’s Galaxy Tab S4, as it had promised. It has a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED WQXGA screen, is powered by a Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 SoC and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie). It has quad-stereo speakers tuned by AKG by HARMAN, similar to the predecessor and has got rid of the Iris scanner in favor of in-display fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy Tab S6 has an 8-megapixel primary camera along with a 5-megapixel 123-degree Ultra Wide camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It has a 5.7mm slim metal body.

Huawei MediaPad M6 with 10.8-inch and 8.4-inch 2K displays, Kirin 980, 4G LTE announced

Huawei just announced MediaPad M6 series 10.8″ and 8.4″ along with the Nova 5 series in China. It comes in 10.8-inch and 8.4-inch versions with WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display, are powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 980 SoC and run on Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.1 on top. These pack a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP front camera. These feature a metal frame, but only the 10.8-inch model has a fingerprint sensor on the home button, below the display. Amazon introduces new Fire 7 tablet with more storage, faster processor for $49.99

Amazon has introduced new 9th generation Fire 7 tablet, successor of the model that was introduced back in 2017. This has a 16 GB of internal storage, up from 8GB, and also comes in 32GB version. It also has a faster processor, says the company.
