Flipkart has launched five new tablets powered by dual-core Clover Trail+ Intel Atom processors in the Digiflip Pro series as expected. The entry-level Digiflip Pro ET 701 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS display, Digiflip Pro XT811 and XT801 tablets have a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) HD IPS display, Digiflip Pro XT911 and XT901 tablets have a 8.9-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) full HD IPS display. Recently Flipkart sent out press invites for the launch of its Intel Atom-powered tablet on August 27th. Today the online retailer has posted a teaser image of the tablet with Digiflip Pro and Intel brandings on the back. The image has the wordings Packed with features. Powered by intelligence. This clearly shows that it would be powered by Intel processor and come with new features that were not present in its Digiflip Pro XT 712 tablet. Flipkart sends invites for Intel-powered tablet launch on August 27

Flipkart has just sent us an invite for a tablet launch in partnership with Intel. The invite reads What’s in red, grey, pearl white and blue? It will be powered by an Intel processor. It is clear that it’s going to be a tablet, looking from the invite. It has an earpiece on the top, so it is likely to come with voice calling capabilities. HTC-built Nexus Tablet passes WiFi Certification?

HTC device codenamed flounder appeared twice in May. Rumors about the HTC-made Nexus tablet condemned Volantis surfaced in June. Recently a HTC tablet running Android L has been spotted at Wi-Fi Alliance website that is believed to be the upcoming Nexus tablet. According to the certification, it has Broadcom BCM4345 WiFi Chip with dual-band WiFi. It also shows 3 separate model numbers: 0P8210000, 0P8220000, and 0P823000. The Project Shield was Nvidia’s first portable gaming project, which turned out to be really interesting in terms of idea and concept, never took off as the company had imagined. The GPU manufacturer is back with a sequel, but with a different approach this time. The Shield 2, or rather, the Nvidia Shield Tablet, is the company’s latest unbundled approach to portable gaming. Acknowledging the reality of limited controller support in Android games and the need to cater to a wider audience, the company has gone for a powerful tablet + gamepad combo. The gamepad ships separately, but even standalone, the tablet is plenty powerful and can interface with your current controller setup if needed.
