After months of leaks and reports, NVIDIA has finally launched its Shield tablet which is specifically aimed at gamers. Powered with Tegra K1 quad core processor, the tablet sports 8 inch Full HD display can support full 1080p high-definition or 4K UltraHD games. It has 2GB of RAM, 5MP front and rear cameras, a 10 hour battery, and support for pressure-sensitive input with NVIDIA’s DirectStylus 2 device.

Swipe has launched Slice, the company’s latest entry-level Android tablet. It has a 7-inch WVGA screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT8312 processor with Mali 400 GPU and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera without flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has 2G (EDGE) connectivity, dual SIM support and voice calling capabilities. Last week press image of the NVIDIA Shield tablet showed us a glimpse of how the tablet will look from the front. Soon after that a new leak along with some images has provided more details about the specification of not only the tablet but also about the wireless controller. According to a number of promotional images, obtained by the website Videocardz, the Shield tablet is expected to be available for purchase on July 29.
NVIDIA’s Shield tablet was first revealed in Global Certification Forum earlier this month. Today, an alleged press image of NVIDIA’s Shield tablet has surfaced online thanks to @evleaks. The popular leakster has released a front view image of the tablet.
Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet in India at Rs. 44,800 along with the Tab S 8.4. The Indian version is powered by a 1.9 GHz Exynos 5420 Octa ( A15 1.9 GHz ＋ A7 1.3 GHz) processor with ARM Mail T628 GPU, similar to the Tab S 8.4 . After several rumors HP Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra and Slate 8 Plus have appeared on the official HP website. The HP Slate 7 VoiceTab Ultra has a 7-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Huawei HiSilicon processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Worldwide combined shipments of devices like PCs, tablets, ultra mobiles and mobile phones are projected to reach 2.4 billion units in 2014, a 4.2 percent increase from 2013, according to Gartner. The research firm further stated that 321 million tablets and will ship worldwide, up from 256 million in 2014.

LG unveiled the G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1 in the G Pad series back in May. The LG G Pad 7.0 went on sale starting from Europe last month. Xiaomi the famous Chinese phone maker had announced its plans to enter the tablet market with the Mi Pad back in May and looks like the tablet has gone on sale recently. A post on the official company forum says that Xiaomi sold 50000 units of the MiPad tablet on launch day thereby running out of stocks. Continue reading for some more breathtaking news. Flipkart was rumored to be launching a smartphone, but they dropped that plan and now, have launched a tablet under Rs. 10,000. The Flipkart Digiflip Pro XT 712 comes with a MediaTek SoC and 7inch HD display along with voice calling. Flipkart has decided to do what other manufacturers have been doing for a while – get a product from China, rebrand it and sell it in India. Flipkart has a lot of reach and it hopes to sell its tablet because of its big customer network.
NVIDIA launched the SHIELD gaming console last year. It also launched its Tegra Note tablets manufactured by several vendors last year. Now the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet has been certified on Global Certification Forum or GCF. Last month it surfaced on the official NVIDIA Tegra Zone and also surfaced on FCC.
