Waze for Android got new traffic bar last month that lets you know how long you’ll be stuck, showing your progress as you move through heavy traffic, now the latest update on iOS bring this feature. The update also makes up to 85% faster, says Waze. This also adds guided navigation that will now let you know which route is best to take and several other improvement. It was available only as invite-only option that opened occasionally, which required a person who already have calling feature to call you to unlock it. Now, after the latest version (2.12.19) that can be side-loaded on your phone, everyone using Android smartphones can enjoy WhatsApp calling without invites. Twitter launches Periscope live streaming app for iPhone

Twitter has launched Periscope, a new app for iPhone that lets you stream live videos. You can sign up using Twitter and share the broadcast link to your followers, but you can’t watch the stream directly on Twitter yet. Twitter silently acquired Periscope earlier this year. This app competes directly with Meerkat, and the Periscope app lets you replay the broadcasts when it’s over, which the Meerkat app lacks.
