Microsoft has released Translator app for Android, Android Wear, iOS devices and Apple Watch. The app is mainly for smartwatches since the Android and iOS apps have a simple layout. It lets you translate instantly in 50 languages using voice or text. You can translate even faster by pinning your most commonly used translations and settings to your watch screen for easy access, and browse your history of recently used phrases, said the company. It has option to select English accents spoken in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, United Kingdom and United States. Twitter has added support for four new languages – Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi and Tamil for the web and Android. This joins Hindi and Bengali that were added more than a year back. This makes Twitter more accessible to Indians across the country. Microsoft Arrow launcher for Android released in private beta

Microsoft has started testing its upcoming Arrow launcher in private beta. It has three screens – People, Apps and Notes & Reminders. People screen shows recent and Frequent contacts, a dialer on the top and a menu to open contacts app. The Apps screen shows recent and frequent apps. The Notes & Reminders screen lets you add notes and add a reminder for them. All the screen have a row in the bottom for user-selected quick access apps.

Skype 5.6 for Android brings refreshed look to aid usability

Skype for Android has been updated to version 5.6 that brings a refreshed look. It now lets you see more chats on the Recent tab that allows you to catch up on more conversations, especially when you have multiple chats going at the same time. You can now view friends who are online, on all the screen with unified avatars that is also now rounded. Chat bubbles now have new color. This gives chats more clarity, says Skype.
