The Lenovo S60 was announced earlier this year and was released in the Indian market during May 2015. Despite being released quite recently, the smartphone still shipped with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. But now, the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop has begun seeding on units of the S60 already.

The update has first been spotted on S60 handsets in Greece and the update brings around a lot of changes especially in terms of UI, bug fixes and performance improvements. The update is 1.32GB in size so we would suggest downloading the update via Wi-Fi unless you have a hefty data plan or an unlimited data plan.

The update to Android 5.0 Lollipop shouldn’t put your data at risk but it is always better to keep a backup of your files before doing an update. While the update has been spotted in Greece first, we expect the update to roll-out to S60s in other regions soon enough.
