Drive Safe.ly with the new Blackberry Application

Never realized that we could have been missing on a feature on one of the finest phones, till I came across Drive Safe.ly . Bluetooth is so much good till the time a call comes through, but here comes an application that sorts out the problem of receiving mails and messages and your hands itching to check it out while driving.

Drive Safe.ly actually reads out your SMS or Mail as it arrives in the mail box, and can auto respond to the same. An excellent application for those busy individuals on the move. Easy to use, just set it to “On” while driving and it will read out your message in Crystal Clear voice.

Review: Sygic Mobile Maps India a Turn by Turn Navigation App for iPhone

iPhone was never a perfect navigational device, though it has Maps App but it hardly solved the purpose, it just shows your current position and roughly calculates distance between point A and B. The scenario increased a little on iPhone world, with release iPhone OS 3.0 and biggies like TomTom, Sygic etc. launched there turn by turn navigational App for iPhone. But to hail the maps were only limited to US, Canada and Australia .After so much wait now we have a hope here, Sygic has launched a full blown turn by turn navigational App for iPhone with maps of India.

This update makes Nimbuzz one of the most comprehensive Social Networking application that we have ever seen on Symbian Platform. Download Skype for Symbian Beta

Most of us would have used Skype on the Desktop either for chatting or for Client calls or just talking to your family when you are away.

You can now use it from your Symbian phone without having to logon to your desktop. (Skype via Fring/ Nimbuzz has been around for quite sometime. This is official and supports Skype out calls too)

Skype have announced a beta version of their Symbian application today and it has a lot of features and comes close to the desktop version.

Outside iPhone App: The Preview

After the developers were unsatisfied with iPhone’s Default weather App, they tried to built there own and till now I have not been satisfied with any one. What makes a iPhone App successful is a better UI, it’s usefulness and exploitation of total potential of iPhone’s hardware. Here comes the “Outside” the first App from the Robocat stable.

Outside gathers local weather data and presents them to you through a stylized window in your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can watch the current weather or swipe to see tomorrows forecast all from the cosy windows of this little universe.  Outside marries current weather and local forecasts with custom push notifications. Look out the window and see what the weather is like through stunning visuals. Swipe to see the forecast or setup and receive alerts when the weather is just right. If you are a mobile developer and want to get your app onto multiple platforms then Qt is the way to go. Qt is truly cross platform as you can see in the video below that the UI is almost the same on a Nokia N900 (Maemo) , Nokia 5800 (Symbian) and a Windows mobile phone.

Dragon Dictation comes to iPhone Looks impressive

The App certainly looks impressive and using it is straightforward but we noticed it works flawlessly only with an American accent
