ARCHOS has announced that they are rolling out the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 update for the G9 series of tablets, ARCHOS 80 G9 and 101 G9 that was announced last June. The ICS update would offer faster web browsing, easy multitasking, rich notifications, customizable home screens, resizable widgets, and enhanced social media integration. In addition, Ice Cream Sandwich also comes with improved text input and spell checking, a dynamic voice input engine, enhanced imaging capabilities and a redesigned Gallery app with photo editor. Apple announced the new iPad today along with a new Apple TV. Along with these announcements came the news that iOS 5.1 is finally rolling out today to compatible devices. While the update is still not showing up in iTunes , it is available through OTA (Over The Air). Make sure you back up your device before updating it. One good news for iPhone 4S users is that battery life is reportedly improved with this update. We observed the same in a beta build. Good news for folks in India and in other countries where 3G coverage is spotty is that the 3G toggle is back (we will confirm this in a bit)

Nokia has announced that they plan to offer Nokia Belle Feature Pack 1 update for Nokia 700, 701 and 603 smart phones that came with Nokia Belle pre-installed. Nokia 808 PureView that was announced earlier this week at MWC, already comes with Nokia Belle Feature Pack 1. Nokia started rolling out Nokia Belle update forAnna devices earky last month and for the Nokia 500 mid February. Other than new features this update would offer increase in processor speed from 1GHz to 1.3GHz for Nokia 700 and 701. The Flipboard iPhone and iPad apps now has a French Edition that offers content from French publications, blogs and other content sources. The Cover Stories offers personal feed of the most interesting news, updates and photos being shared with you. Cover Stories learns what readers like from their interactions with news, posts and photos shared by friends and sources.Both the iPhone and the iPad app has also received new features based on reader’s feedback.
