Motorola to be sales arm of Lenovo to improve global sales: Report

Lenovo bought Motorola from Google for $2.91 billion earlier this year. Motorola will help Lenovo to expand its sales in the global market by becoming its sales arm, when the two companies are merged officially, according to a report from DigiTimes. Motorola shipped 6.5 million smartphones globally in the first quarter of 2014 and it became the fourth largest smartphone vendor in India in the second quarter of 2014 replacing Nokia. HTC One (W8) Windows Phone handset rumored for August 21 launch

HTC is working on a flagship Windows Phone 8.1 handset based on HTC One (M8), according to several reports. Earlier this month @evleaks said the HTC’s W8 Windows Phone handset would feature BoomSound and Duo cameras, similar to the HTC One (M8). According the Engadget’s sources, the device is expected to be called “One (W8) for Windows”.
