The HTC One M9+ was announced globally in Beijing on 8th April and was launched locally in India on April 14th. The handset will be making its way to the stores on May 3rd at a retail price of Rs 52,500. We managed to get our hands on the device so please stay tuned for that. The Lumia 640 is one of the latest phones that Microsoft announced post the Nokia takeover. It is the successor to the Lumia 630. The 640 was announced alongside its larger brother, the 640 XL at MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Spain last month. Both the handsets run Windows 8.1 out of the box. New photos have surfaced of a handset that could very well be the Sony XPERIA Z4 as it looks very similar to what we’ve seen in the past photos rumoured to be that of the Z4. In the images, Sony has referred to the phone as XPERIA Z Fourth Generation. We are not sure if this means that Sony is planning to change it’s naming scheme. Perhaps instead of having Z2, Z3, Z4 etc they will name their handsets XPERIA Z Generation 4, 5 etc. Perhaps it is to make things simpler as they plan on releasing just one flagship phone per year compared to their previous cycle of two phones per year.

Microsoft announced the Lumia 640 and the 640 XL last month at MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, Spain. The two devices are very similar to one another and the primary difference is the size. The 640 XL does also pack a few extra features and a bit more battery power as compared to the 640. Regardless of their differences, both the devices are aimed to bring the Windows platform to the masses especially in India where phones between the price of 10-18,000 rupees have been gaining a lot of sales quite recently.
