
Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is expected to be rolled out Nationwide by February 2013, said Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal, according to report from Economic Times. This would let the subscribers retain their numbers even if they move to another state, irrespective of the service provider. UC Browser crosses 400 million users globally

UCWeb, china-based company has announced that their UC Browser has crossed 400 million users globally. The company has announced it at AppFest 2012, organised by Internet And Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) in Hyderabad. UC Browser has gained 100 million new users in less than a year and is on the top position among mobile browsers in India with market share of over 25%. Sony’s Digital Network Applications division has pushed out a new application for Android devices which lets you create motion enabled images. The motiongraph smartphone application creates images in which part of the image moves like a video while the rest remains stationary creating a surreal effect.

Firefox OS ported to the Huawei Ascend G300
The Firefox OS is Mozilla’s attempt at the intensely competitive and crowded smartphone game. The OS was announced as an initiative to bring more openness into the mobile ecosystem.
