Samsung’s next Smartwatch can independently make calls, says report
Samsung is making plans to introduce a new Smartwatch that can work standalone, untethered from the phone, says a report from WSJ. After having released 4 different models of wearable devices already, Samsung is planning to take it to a direction where some smaller companies have already started heading towards, which is the idea of a “Smart watch-phone”. We already heard some rumours of a Gear 2 solo, the independent smartwatch that was reportedly in the works, and the WSJ report could just be a confirmation of the smartwatch of another kind. Yes, it will be different. This kind of a smartwatch is literally a miniature phone on your wrist, which can be used to perform most of the general duties of a modern smartphone, including taking calls, checking mails, the ability to have internet connected apps and so forth. Samsung pursuing this direction could be the desire to be a pioneer in a new category of devices, for a market that’s already been used to this idea in science fiction plots one too many.

Sony D2403 with quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC spotted in benchmarks

Sony D2403, an unknown device has been spotted on GFXBench. This reveals the complete specifications of the smartphone. According to benchmark listing, the phone would have a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) display, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU and runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) out of the box. It would have a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. HTC M8 Ace surfaces again, likely to feature a 4.7-inch display
HTC M8 Ace first surfaced online in April via press leaks which was followed by rumors that it will come in plastic built body and bear a lower price tag. Yesterday, a Chinese website claimed that the phone will have a curved body along with only one camera on the back with LED flash. This was followed by a tweet from HTC teasing “more beautiful curves coming soon,” suggesting the launch of HTC M8 Ace.

Nokia X2 (RM-1013), the successor of the Nokia X, the company’s first Android smartphone surfaced few days back on a Chinese website. Now the smartphone has appeared on AnTuTu benchmark. This confirms the previous leak that the phone would be powered by a 1.2 dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. Huawei Honor 3X Pro with 5.5-inch 1080p display and Honor 3C 4G with Android 4.4 announced

Huawei has announced the Honor 3X Pro and the 4G variant of the Honor 3C in China. It unveiled the Honor 3X and the Honor 3C back in December last year. The Honor 3C was launched in India earlier this month and the international variant of the Honor 3X was launched as Ascend G750. The Honor 3X Pro is powered by the same 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Emotion UI 2.0, but this has a 5.5-inch 1080p LTPS display, unlike the 720p display on the Honor 3X.
