Huawei has announced Honor 4A, the company’s latest budget smartphone in the Honor series in China. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by 1.1 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Emotion UI 3.1 on top. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support and comes with 4G connectivity that includes support for bands – TDD-LTE:B38/B39/B40/B41 and FDD-LTE:B1/B3. Vivo V1 and V1Max officially launched in India for Rs. 17890 and Rs. 21980

Vivo announced the V1 and V1Max smartphones for India earlier this month. Today during the Vivo X5Pro launch, the company has officially launched these smartphones in India. Both these smartphones have run on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Funtouch OS 2.1 on top, have 4G LTE connectivity with support for 4G LTE bands (TDD B40 2300MHz and FDD B3 1800MHz) for India and have dual SIM support. OnePlus 2 gets certified in China, image shows home button and laser AF

OnePlus 2 has finally been certified on TENNA (Via) in China, which shows the image of the upcoming smartphone. This reveals a home button below the display, which is likely to have fingerprint sensor, as the company confirmed earlier. There is a laser auto focus on the back for the camera along with a dual-tone flash. It also shows the same sandstone finish on the back, but the company will sell style swap covers separately. Vivo has launched X5Pro, the company’s latest high-end smartphone in the X series in India. It packs a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display. It has 2.5D curved glasses and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the font and back.  It is powered by Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and runs on Funtouch OS based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Apple records 93% growth in iPhone sales in India in Q3

Apple announced that 47.5 million iPhones were sold in Q3 2015 that ended June 27, 2015. India contributed for Apple’s strong sales as the country recorded a whopping 93% growth in iPhone sales.

Apple reports $49.6 billion revenue in FY Q3 2015, 47.5M iPhones and 10.9M iPads sold

Apple has reported revenue of $49.6 billion with a net profit of $10.7 billion in their earnings for the financial year Q3 2015 that ended June 27, 2015. Revenues were up 33% and earnings per share up 45% year-over-year. Apple sold 47.5 million iPhones, compared to 35.2 million over last year, representing 35% year-over-year growth, 10.9 million iPads, compared to 13.3 million year-over-year and 4.8 million Macs during the quarter, up 9% year-over-year. Micromax announced the original YU YUREKA at the end of last year as the first phone in its YU range of smartphones that are powered by CyanogenMod OS. Earlier this year in May, Micromax also announced the YU YUPHORIA which was a model that was priced below the YUREKA. The YUREKA was launched at a retail price of Rs 8999 while the YUPHORIA was launched at a retail price of Rs 6999. YU YUREKA PLUS vs Lenovo K3 Note – What’s Different?

Lenovo introduced the A7000 as the successor to the A6000 at MWC 2015 shortly after the latter’s introduction in January this year. They then introduced the A6000 Plus as an upgraded version to the A6000 and most recently they introduced the K3 Note which is an upgraded version of the A7000. The A6000, A6000 Plus, A7000 and K3 Note are all selling harmoniously at prices of Rs 6499, 7499, 8999 and 9999 respectively. That is quite a lot of choice for consumers and it caters to the needs of a wide variety of customers even though all are quite similarly priced and specc’d. As a result, Lenovo has been doing quite well recently. Micromax’s YU range of devices included the YU YUPHORIA and YUREKA priced at Rs 6999 and 8999 respectively. To up the ante, YU has launched the YUREKA PLUS which is to the YUREKA what the K3 Note is to the A7000. Like the K3 Note, the YUREKA PLUS is also priced at Rs 9999. So let’s see what is different between these two handsets that are going head to head in the market.

It is powered by a second-generation Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores are clocked at 1.1 GHz per core. vivo announced V1, a new smartphone in India earlier this month, now the smartphone is on sale in India. It has a 5-inch HD screen, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC and runs on Funtouch OS 2.1 based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It has a 6.78mm slim frame and has magnesium alloy body, according to the company. It has dual SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity with support for 4G LTE bands (TDD B40 2300MHz and FDD B3 1800MHz) for India.
