HTC One A9 with 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, Android 6.0, 7.2mm slim metal body announced
HTC has announced One A9, the company’s first One A series smartphone. It has a 5-inch full HD AMOLED, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with HTC Sense UI on top. HTC says that the unlocked version will get Android updates within 15 days once Google pushes out the update for the Nexus devices. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) that improves camera’s focus, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), RAW image capture and an Ultrapixel front-facing camera. Apple has taken down more than 250 apps from the App Store that were accessing and storing personal information, like Apple ID and device serial numbers, according to a report by SourceDNA.
ACT Fibernet revises tariffs in Chennai, 100Mbps plan now at Rs. 1999
ACT (Atria Convergence Technologies Pvt. Ltd.), popular for its Fiber Optic broadband has revised their tariffs for their ACT Fibernet customers in Chennai. It revised tariffs and introduced new plans for Fibernet customers in Hyderabad recently. In Chennai 100Mbps plan now costs Rs. 1,999. Previously 100Mbps plan was only available for SOHO (Small office / Home Office) customers. The base ACT Blaze plan for Rs. 999 now offers 40Mbps speed with 50GB FUP and there is new 75Mbps ACT Thunder plan for Rs. 1,499 with 125GB FUP limit. There is no change in speed post the FUP limit in retail plans, now all SOHO plan customers now get 2Mbps speed post FUP. The invite is similar to the global invite with letter ‘X’ created by two lights.
