India TWS shipments record 723% YoY growth in Q3 2020: Counterpoint

The truly wireless market in India is an industry that has been growing strongly lately, and in the third quarter of 2020 the growth has reached record levels, with Counterpoint Research reporting a growth of 723% YoY. The top five manufacturers for the quarter in terms of market share were boAt, Xiaomi, realme, JBL, and Apple.

Google Pay confirms it won’t charge money transfer fee for users in India

Last week Google Pay got a new update for iOS and Android that brought redesigned UI with better organization of payments, and improved privacy controls. Indian mobile market exports 12.8 million units till September 2020, $1.5 billion in value

Although the COVID pandemic caused significant disruptions, the Indian mobile exports market still managed to ship a total of 12.8 million units, according to a report from techARC. The exports amounted to nearly $1.5 billion in value and the top exporter was Samsung by a large amount.

Indian Government bans 43 more mobile apps including AliExpress

The Indian government today announced that it has banned 43 more mobile apps, including AliExpress, Alipay and more Alibaba apps. It says are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order. The government banned 59 mobile apps in the country back in June and 118 apps including PUBG Mobile in September. PUBG Mobile India recently said that it will launch a new game for India.
