Indian brand boAt raises $100 million from Warburg Pincus

Indian brand boAt popular for its personal audio products today announced that it has raised approximately $100 million (over Rs. 731 crore) from an affiliate of Warburg Pincus, a leading global private equity fund focused on growth investing. This comes after it raised $60 million (Rs. 440 crore) funding from South Lake Investment. Post-money valuation of boAt is estimated at over $300 million (over Rs. 2192 crore). WhatsApp updates terms of service and privacy policy: Accept it by Feb 8 to continue using the service

WhatsApp has started pushing a new notification for Android and iPhone users as part of an upcoming global roll-out, asking them to either accept the changes in its Terms of Service and privacy policy by February 8 or delete the account. Back in 2016 for the first time after it was acquired by Facebook, WhatsApp updated its privacy policy saying that it will share user’s data with Facebook, but it had opt out option. Cristiano Amon to be the next Qualcomm CEO succeeding Steve Mollenkopf

Qualcomm today announced that Cristiano Amon will be the next CEO of Qualcomm unanimously selected by the Board of Directors. Amon, who has worked at Qualcomm since 1995, is currently President of the Company. Amon will succeed Mollenkopf effective June 30, 2021 after he retires as CEO following 26 years with Qualcomm.
