relame just launched the realme X7 5G, the company’s latest mid-range 5G smartphone in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.43-inch Full HD+ Samsung Super AMOLED screen with 60Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate, DC Dimming, 90.8% screen-to-body ratio, in-display fingerprint scanner and a 16-megapixel camera on the front. It is the first phone in India to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC that supports dual 5G, comes with up to 8GB of RAM and support for 5G SA/NSA and Android 10 with realme UI, which is upgradable to Android 11 with realme UI 2.0 in the future. Sony sold 4.5 million PlayStation 5 units, 1 million smartphones in Q3 FY 2020

Sony Corporation has reported an operating profit of 359.2 billion yen, up 20% YoY on 2,696.5 billion yen revenue, up 9% YoY for the third quarter of the financial year 2020 that ended December 31, 2020. It reported that sales of PlayStation 5 reached 4.5 million cumulative units as of the end of December since it started selling in November. Jeff Bezos to step down as Amazon CEO; to become Executive Chair of the Board

After nearly 27 years since it was founded, tech and e-commerce giant Amazon’s CEO, Jeff Bezos has announced that in Q3 2021 he will be stepping down from his position and take up the role of the Executive Chair of the Amazon Board. Taking his place will be Andy Jassy, who is currently the CEO of Amazon Web Service (AWS).

HMD Global has announced Nokia 1.4, the company’s latest budget Android 10 Go Edition smartphone, as the successor of Nokia 1.3 that was introduced last year. Apple to reportedly invest $3.6 billion in Kia motors for future Apple Car vehicle

Apple is reportedly entering into a partnership with South Korean car manufacturer Kia, for the production of their future electric vehicle – the Apple Car. The two companies may enter into a contract on February 17th and will start producing cars that will likely launch in 2024. Apple will also be working with Hyundai for the designing and developing for their first car, using their E-GMP battery electric vehicle (BEV) platform.

Nokia 3.4 with 6.39-inch display, Snapdragon 460, triple rear cameras teased ahead of India launch

HMD Global today started teasing the launch of Nokia 3.4 smartphone that was introduced back in September last year. The company was expected to launch the phone along with the Nokia 2.4 back in November last year, but it didn’t happen. The teaser just says the phone is coming soon, but we can expect the launch sometime later this February. After CAD renders and press renders, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G (SM-A5260)  has been certified by TENAA in China revealing some specifications of the phone including a 6.46-inch display which should be a FHD+ AMOLED screen with support for an in-display fingerprint scanner, 4500mAh battery, Android 11 and the dimensions of the phone. Nokia 8.3 5G Android 11 update starts rolling out

HMD Global has started rolling out Android 11 update for its Nokia 8.3 5G, which makes it the first Nokia phone to get the update. The company back in October said that the phone will get the update in Q4 2020 to Q1 2021. Android 11 brings lets managing conversations across multiple messaging apps all in one place and Nokia smartphones on Android 11 will reset the permissions of apps that haven’t been used in a while, allowing only recent apps access to personal data. Facebook rolls out in-app privacy notification ahead of Apple’s App Tracking transparency feature

Apple recently announced that in an upcoming iOS beta update, they will add a new feature called App Tracking transparency that will require apps to explicitly ask users for permission to track them across apps. MediaTek M80 5G modem with 5G mmWave and Sub-6 GHz, up to 7.67Gbps peak download speeds announced

MediaTek has announced their next generation M80 5G modem, replacing the M70 modem that was announced last year. The modem features support for both mmWave and sub-6 GHz 5G technologies, can function on both non-standalone (NSA) and standalone (SA) architectures capable of reaching peak download speeds of 7.67 Gbps and upload speeds of 3.76 Gbps.
