Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 in India last week, and the phone went on sale for the first time yesterday, March 6th on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores at 12 noon. Today the company has announced that it has sold over 200,000 or 2 lakh units of the smartphone within minutes in the first sale.

Vivo today confirmed that it will introduce its X27 smartphone in China on March 19th. This will feature a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display without a notch and 91.64% screen-to-body ratio and an in-dispaly fingerprint scanner, same as the V15 Pro that was launched in India recently. Vivo smartphone with the model number V1829A revealed a 2.2GHz SoC, which could be Snapdragon 710 compared to Snapdragon 675 on the Indian version.

Along with the Samsung Galaxy S10 series of smartphones, the company also launched the Galaxy Buds, wireless earbuds in India. These earbuds design by AKG were announced last month, and features Ambient Sound allows you to hear your surroundings clearly even while the buds are in your ears. The Adaptive Dual Microphone uses one inner microphone and one outer microphone in each earbud, so you can deliver your voice clearly in both loud and quiet environments.

Google has released Bolo, an Android app that is aimed at improving the reading skills of children. Bolo is powered by the company’s speech recognition and text-to-speech technology that comes built-in with a helpful reading buddy, “Diya.” which explains and corrects the child, as they read aloud.

Huawei’s MWC 2019 event was centered around the Mate X foldable phone and now the company is focusing on the P30 series which is set to unveil on March 26th. Talking about P30, we already know it will come with Quad rear cameras, teardrop notch. And now, Huawei’s VP of Global Product Marketing, Clement Wong, confirmed the top-end P30 will indeed feature a periscope-style zoom camera for “super-zoom” capabilities.

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e smartphones in India, after Samsung started pre-booking recently. All the phones are powered by Samsung Exynos 9 Series 9820 SoCs and feature Dynamic AMOLED display. The S10 and S10+ are the first Samsung phones with an in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner that reads the 3D contours of user’s physical thumbprint for improved anti-spoofing.

Meizu just announced Note 9, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the Note series and the successor of last year’s Note 8 in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.2-inch FHD+ waterdrop notch display with 89.23% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to 5.35mm bottom, 3mm top and 3.1mm narrow side bezels. It is powered by Snapdragon 675 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM, and runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with Flyme 7.2 on top. It has a 48-megapixel rear camera with Samsung GM1 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, secondary 5-megapixel camera, AI features and a 20-megapixel camera on the front with face recognition 3.0.

LG has announced that its 2019 premium TV lineup featuring advanced OLED and NanoCell TVs will begin rolling out this week. This year, OLED models will make up 20% of the company’s high-end TV portfolio and with demand for OLED TVs expected to grow to 3.6 million units this year, 7 million units in 2020 and 10 million in 2021.
