HUAWEI’s HONOR brand announced the ‘HONOR 9X’ smartphone alongside the 9X Pro back in July last year. There were multiple reports that the smartphone will launch in India by the end of 2019. But now finally after multiple teasers, HONOR is launching the ‘HONOR 9X’ smartphone in India on January 14th, 2020.
Vivo has launched the S1 Pro smartphone in India after teasing it recently. It packs a 6.38-inch FULL HD+ 19.5:9 aspect ratio Super AMOLED notch display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and 90% screen-to-body ratio and minimal bezels. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and runs Funtouch OS 9.2 based on Android 9 (Pie). Xiaomi launched its Home Security Camera earlier this year which supports 1080p recording with AI motion detection, infrared night vision, and more. While there has been a rise in the use and adoption of home security cameras and other smart home devices recently, there are issues related to privacy and security. On similar lines, today, a Xiaomi Security Camera displayed pictures from other cameras on a user’s Google Nest Hub and this issue has affected a group of users.
realme launched the realme XT back in September last year starting at Rs. 15,999. It launched the realme X2 last month starting at Rs. 16,999 with improved specifications, however it did not cut the price of the XT at that time. Dell has announced 3 new laptops for CES 2020, 2 new XPS 13 laptops along with a new Latitude 9000 series laptop. The XPS 13 features Dell’s new first ever four sided, borderless InfinityEdge display while running Intel’s latest 10th Gen CPU’s. The Latitude 9510 will come with a 30 hour battery life, 5G antenna support and will have the Dell Optimizer software.
8K TVs are coming this year and of course, LG Electronics will be showing off its best of the best at CES 2020. For this year, LG will showcase its expanded 8K TV lineup, with new 77-inch and 65-inch joining the existing premium lineup of 88- and 75-inch screen sizes, featuring its new α (Alpha) 9 Gen 3 AI Processor.

Samsung has announced that it has shipped over it shipped more than 6.7 million Galaxy 5G smartphones globally that includes Galaxy S10 5G, Note10 5G, Note10+ 5G, Galaxy A90 5G and Galaxy Fold 5G. It added that as of November 2019, Samsung accounted for 53.9% of the global 5G smartphone market globally. Airtel launched 4G services back in 2012 in India and has been expanding the coverage across the country. The company is also expanding its services in remote villages gradually and on similar lines now, Airtel has launched 4G and 2G services in 26 villages in Ladakh and becomes the first operator to bring high-speed internet to these villages.

Airtel has launched new Rs. 379 plan that offers truly unlimited calls and 84 days validity, but this doesn’t offer daily data, instead users only get 6GB of data and 900 SMS. It also includes Airtel Xstream App Premium, Wynk Music and cashback on FASTag. This is similar to Vodafone’s plan that offer similar benefits at the same cost, but with 1000 SMS. Reliance Jio offers the plan at Rs. 329, but it only offers Jio to Jio Unlimited calling, and bundles Jio to Non-Jio FUP of 3000 minutes.
