List of Xiaomi smartphones that are confirmed to get Android Pie update [Updated]

Xiaomi has finally released the list of smartphones eligible for Android Pie/Oreo update, these devices are supposed to get Android Pie/Oreo update sometime before Q2 2019. Xiaomi has mentioned that the smartphones which have already received two major Android updates are unlikely to receive further Android updates. The list of smartphones eligible to receive Android update includes both Mi and Redmi range of smartphones. Researcher finds URL spoofing vulnerability on Mi browser and Mint Browser, Mi Security team acknowledges the issue

Arif Khan, an independent security researcher has recently discovered an issue on Xiaomi Browsers including Mi Browser and recently launched Mint Browser. The vulnerability (CVE-2019-10875) was found to be present in Global version of these browsers and not on the Chinese version, which as per the researcher might be intentional. Update — April 5, 2019: Xiaomi has updated the list to clarify that it is the Redmi Note 4 MediaTek version that was launched in China and the Redmi, so the Indian Snapdragon variant that is called Redmi Note 4X in China will likely get updates. The Redmi 4 that has been dropped is also the Chinese version, so the India version was launched as Redmi 4X in China will likely get updates. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro MIUI 10 Beta testing to start soon

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphones running on MIUI 10.2 based on Android 9.0 (Pie) in India on 28th February. The smartphone duo went on sale in India recently, and the company claimed that it sold over 2 lakh units within minutes during first Redmi Note 7 sale on 6th March.
