LG Optimus LTE L-01D arrives in Japan, available in Red color and with NFC support on NTT Docomo

LG has launched the Optimus LTE L-01D in Japan. NTT Docomo already announced the LTE device in their NEXT series this October. LG announced the device for Korea this October and it launched earlier this month in US on  AT&T as LG Nitro HD. The LG Optimus LTE L-01D comes with a 4.5 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) True HD IPS display with 326 PPI and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is powered by 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm snapdragon processor and features an 8MP Auto focus camera with LED Flash, 1080p HD video recording and 1.3MP front facing camera. Panasonic to launch ultra-slim, waterproof and dustproof Android phone with 4.3 inch OLED display in March 2012

Panasonic has grand plans with it’s smartphone which is expected to hit Europe by March 2012. The company has released few details along with some pictures of the Panasonic prototype Android phone. The device uses a 4.3 inch qHD OLED display with a really slim bezel.The design will be  ultra-slim and sport a D-shape.The front shows off the Panasonic branding along with the Menu , home and Back keys. Since waterproof phones are pretty common in Japan , Panasonic is bringing its expertise to the table and claims that it’s first smartphone will be waterproof and dustproof. World’s First Angry Birds Store opens in Finland at 11:11 AM on 11.11.11

Rovio  , the company behind the hugely popular Angry Birds game series has opened the World’s First Angry Birds Store in Helsinki, Finland. Rovio is a Finnish company and it makes sense for them to open the store in their home turf. The store features Angry Birds accessories including birds and pigs found in the game and also life-size slingshots that makes interesting noises found in the actual game itself. You can also buy shirts, plush toys, bags. The store is located within a 20,000 square meter megastore called Verkkokauppa.com in Helsinki, Finland. The doors of the store were opened at 11:11 AM yesterday where we had the fancy 11.11.11 date.

NTT Docomo unveils 23 Mobile Devices, including 14 Smartphones and a Tablet

NTT Docomo has announced 22 new phones in Japan that includes 14 smartphones and 8 feature phones. They have also announced GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus SC-02D tablet. They have also launched the dmenu portal that provides apps and DOCOMO’s popular i-mode content for smartphone and dmarket content store that would offer content, including movies, music, e-books and Android applications. Samsung seeks to stop iPhone 4S sales in Japan, Australia


Samsung has filed preliminary injunction in the Tokyo District Court, Japan and in the New South Wales Registry, Australia to stop the sales of Apple’s iPhone 4S. This ban is regarding to the infringements on HSPA standard related patent and 3 user interface patent in Japan and infringements related to wireless telecommunications standards such as WCDMA and HSPA in Australia. NTT DOCOMO to launch GALAXY Tab 10.1 LTE and ARROWS Tab LTE in Japan

NTT DOCOMO has announced that they would launch the docomo Tablet GALAXY Tab 10.1 LTE SC-01D and the docomo Tablet ARROWS Tab LTE F-01D. These are the first tablets compatible with its extra-high-speed next-generation LTE service, Xi (Crossy). Both these tablets come with 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) displays and features dual core CPUs running on Android 3.2. NTT DOCOMO to become Japan’s first mobile operator to bring overseas mobile remittances

NTT DOCOMO has announced that they would be the first mobile operator to bring overseas mobile remittances. This would let the NTT DOCOMO customers in Japan to transfer money in a local currency or USD from the DOCOMO Kouza account to a bank account or affiliated beneficiary financial institutions in Philippines, Brazil, South Korea or China. Japan’s largest telecom operator NTT Docomo just revealed its plans for the summer by announcing 24 new devices. These phones cover almost any kind of usage a person might have or want and gives them unparalleled choice. Android Gingerbread is the operating system of choice on 8 of the devices.
