Lava Iris X5 4G has surfaced in GFXBench (via) benchmark listing. This is likely to be the upcoming Android One smartphone from Lava that was expected to launch today according to a ET report. Looks like the launch is not happening today and got postponed. Coming to the listing, it reveals 2GB RAM and a MediaTek SoC that coincides with the earlier report. Even though it shows it has a 4.6-inch display, it could feature a 5-inch display as reported earlier.

Today Samsung has sent out press invites for the launch of these smartphones India at an event on July 16th. The invite reads Samsung invites you to the Unveiling of the latest stars in the Galaxy series. The invite is present inside a smartphone, which matches the position of the front-facing camera and the LED flash on these new J series smartphones. Xiaomi Mi 4i now available without registration via open sale in India

The smartphone was launched in the country back in April at a price tag of Rs. 12999. Xiaomi sold 40,000 units of Mi 4i smartphones in the first flash sale at the end of April. InFocus has launched M810, the company’s latest top-end smartphone in India. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with true tone LED flash, Sony Exmor R sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a metal frame and is just 6.99mm thick. It has 4G LTE connectivity, but only has 1800MHz FDD-LTE Band 3.

Xolo BLACK with 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 615 SoC, 4G LTE launched for Rs. 12999

Xolo just launched its first smartphone under BLACK sub-brand. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by a 2nd-gen Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with HIVE Atlas UI on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for depth mapping that lets you click the image first and adjust the focus later. Xolo is calling this UbiFocus. It can focus in 0.15 seconds and the ChromaFlash lets you retain original color and skin tone even in low-lighting conditions, says the company. It also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A Benchmarks

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab A SM-T355 (8 LTE) in India last month at a price tag of Rs. 20,500. We brought you the unboxing of the tablet recently, here we have its benchmarks.  It powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 400 MHz.  It has 2GB RAM, 8-inch (1024×768 pixels) XGA 4:3 display and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s own UI on top. Let’s check out how the tablet performs in a range of synthetic benchmark tests.
