Google announced back in September that it will launch a new project to provide high-speed public Wi-Fi in 400 train stations across India, with 100 stations operational by the end of 2016. At the Google for India press event in Delhi, Google said that it is is working with Indian Railways and Railtel to launch RailWire Wifi to provide free WiFi in train stations in January 2016.
