HUAWEI said to use IndusOS AppBazaar Android app store on upcoming phones in India

It has been several months since HUAWEI launched a smartphone in India, and HONOR launched the HONOR 9X in January, but with old Kirin 710 SoC and Android Pie. This is due to ban on using Google Play Services on its phones. Now a new report says that it will soon partner with India’s system apps company OSLabs, the maker of IndusOS, to offer a curated Android app store on HUAWEI and HONOR smartphones. Today the company has decided to cancel the event due to coronavirus concerns in the country. Paytm gets brokerage licence to offer insurance products

Paytm today announced that it has received insurance brokerage license from IRDAI and will soon offer insurance across four categories including two-wheeler, four-wheeler, health, and life. The company added that Paytm Insurance Broking Private Limited (PIBPL), wholly-owned subsidiary One97 Communications Ltd (OCL), has already tied up with 20 of the leading insurance firms in India and will be integrating with 30 more companies over the next few weeks. Infinix has confirmed that it will launch its S5 Pro smartphone with a 16-megapixel pop-up front camera in India on March 6th on Flipkart. It was supposed to be launched in India in February, but it was postponed. The image also shows gradient back, camera bump and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Apple iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus get a price hike in India after increase in import duty

As the Indian government re-imposed 10% service welfare cess over and above existing 20% basic customs duty in India, Apple has increased the price of its iPhones, including its iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max smartphones in the country. The government last month increased the import duty on PCBA from 10% to 20%, chargers from 15% to 20% and mobile phone components such as display panel, touch panel, microphone and receiver from 0 to 10%. OPPO Kash financial platform with mutual funds, loans and more launched in India

Similar to Xiaomi’s Mi Credit and realme’s PaySa, OPPO has also announced its entrance into financial services in India called OPPO Kash. The app, which is currently in beta, will include multiple services like mutual funds, personal loans, business loans, mobile screen insurance and more.

OPPO just launched the Reno 3 Pro, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘Reno series’ in India as it had promised. The phone is different from the Reno 3 Pro that was launched in China recently. It packs a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with 91.5 screen-to-body ratio with dual punch-hole that houses a 44-megapixel main camera along with a 2-megapixel camera for portrait shots, is powered by MediaTek Helio P95 SoC with 8GB of RAM, packs 64-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens that is also capable of shooting macro images, 13-megapixel telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom, 5x hybrid optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom, and a 2-megapixel mono camera.
