Being the only one among the top 3 to record a positive growth for the first quarter of 2020, the Indian smartphone market shipped 32.4 million units overall. This calculates to a growth of 1.5% YoY, whereas the Chinese and US markets saw a decline of 20.3% YoY and 16.0% YoY respectively. The top 5 manufacturers continue to be Xiaomi, Vivo, Samsung, realme and OPPO.

Reliance Jio offered double data vouchers, free daily data owing to the ongoing nationwide lockdown and on similar lines, now the company has launched a new work from home annual plan and new add-on data packs. This new annual plan offers 33% more benefit compared to the existing annual plan.

Along with the new Mi 10, Xiaomi also introduced the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2, which is the global version of the Mi AirDots Pro 2 which was introduced in China back in September last year and saw a global launch in May. It comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and LDHC Hi-Res audio codec, smart voice controls, dual microphones for ENC, which is environmental noise cancellation. It also has 14.2mm drivers for better audio output. Xiaomi just launched Mi Box 4K the company’s latest 4K Android TV, as it had promised. It runs Android TV 9.0 and comes with built-in Chromecast that lets you stream 4K content, has data saver feature. OnePlus at its flagship OnePlus 8 series launch event introduced its new Bullets Wireless Z Bluetooth headphones. Later it also confirmed the price as Rs. 1999 in India, which is much cheaper compared to the US and added that it will be available from May. Today the company has confirmed that it will go on early access sale on Amazon.in and oneplus.in starting 12 am on 10th May.
