Ola Electric just launched its first electric scooter, the Ola S1 in India. There is also an S1 Pro model with upgraded specifications. It has a powerful Hyperdrive motor with up to 8.5kW peak power and 58NM peak torque that can go from 0 to 40kmph in just 3 seconds, 0 to 60kmph in just 5 seconds and has a top speed of 115kmph, faster than the Ather 450X. There are three modes – Normal, Sport and Hyper, and there is also cruise control that maintains the same speed with a press of a button. Partners Group acquires ACT Fibernet in deal valued at Rs. 6750 crore

Partners Group, a leading global private markets firm, has announced that it has agreed to acquire 75% controlling stake in fiber-optic broadband provider Atria Convergence Technologies (“ACT” or “the Company”) in a transaction that values the company at an enterprise value of nearly US$ 1.2 billion (Rs.9000 crore). JioPhone Next specs surface: HD+ screen, Android 11 (Go Edition), Qualcomm 215 SoC

Reliance Jio announced the JioPhone Next, the company’s ultra-affordable Android smartphone in partnership with Google, back in June. At that time, it didn’t reveal its specifications. Samsung launched the Galaxy A12 smartphone in the Galaxy A series in India earlier this year. Today, it has silently launched a new Galaxy A12 model with Samsung’s Exynos 850 SoC instead of MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. Other specifications are similar to the original Galaxy A12 including a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display, matte finish back, 48MP quad rear cameras and a 5000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. India smartphone market ships 34 million units in Q2 2021, grows 86% year-over-year: IDC

During the second quarter of 2021, the Indian smartphone market witnessed a healthy growth of 84% YoY, signaling signs of complete market recovery. According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), the market shipped a total of 34 million units, and the top 5 manufacturers were Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, realme and OPPO.

Nord 2 blast again? OnePlus says it’s a false report and is not related to OnePlus device

After the first Nord 2 blast last week, which OnePlus said was due to external factors and not a manufacturing defect, another Twitter user earlier today posted that his father’s Nord 2 exploded, but he did not share any photos of the phone.
