Xiaomi is known to be a success story in its native country ie China and we expected to see competitive pricing for its products here in India too. Color us surprised to see how low a price point Xiaomi has been able to hit with its Mi3. To launch at Rs. 14,999 the phone brings top of the line specifications.

Flipkart launched its first tablet Digiflip Pro XT 712 under its own brand last month. We brought you the unboxing of the tablet last week, here we have the benchmarks of the tablet. Unlike most other tablets powered by a MT6582 processor, this one has a MediaTek MT8382 SoC with 500 MHz Mali 400-MP2 GPU. It has a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) multi touch IPS display. It packs 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.
BlackBerry launched the BlackBerry Z3, its latest smartphone in the Z series in India at the end of June for Rs. 15,990. We already brought the photo gallery of the Z3 from the launch event ,couple of weeks back. Here we have the unboxing of the smartphone. The BlackBerry Z10, the company’s first full-touch BlackBerry 10 device had a 4.2-inch display, but the Z3 comes with a 5-inch display and a larger 2500 mAh battery that promises better battery life compared to the Z10. This lets you create portable hotspot and share your data with 6 devices simultaneously. It also has media sharing capabilities that enables users share documents, songs, videos and pictures and more over WiFi. This runs on MTS’ 3GPlus telecom network. Micromax Bolt A069, the company’s latest smartphone in the Bolt series running Android 4.4 (KitKat) is now available on eBay.in. Karbonn Opium N7 and Opium N9, two new smartphones in the new Opium series are available from online retailer HomeShop18. The Opium N7 has a 4-inch WVGA screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Opium N9 comes with a 5-inch HD screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS.
Xolo is on a roll. The company launched several new smartphones, including their first Windows Phone 8.1 handset last month. Today the company has announced the Xolo Play 6X-1000, its first smartphone powered by a MediaTek MT6591 Hexa-Core processor, 2GB RAM and Xolo Q500s IPS, the company’s cheapest quad-core smartphone till date. Amazon launched its New Kindle Paperwhite earlier this year priced at Rs. 10,999. It is now available for Rs. 8,999 on Amazon in India for a limited period. The 2nd generation Paperwhite was announced back in September 2013 and has a the same 6-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) display at 212 PPI pixel density with built-in light. It has a new display technology with higher contrast, the next generation built-in light, 25% faster processor and new touch technology with 19% tighter touch grid so that it respond even more accurately to the smallest touches. Samsung Gear Live that was announced last week at the Google I/O got priced on the Google Play Store at Rs. 15,900, immediately after the announcement. Now the smartwatch is available for purchase on the Google Play Store in India at the same price. The Gear Live Smartwatch runs on Android Wear, has a 1.63 inch (320 x 320 pixels) Super AMOLED display, powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and packs a 300 mAh battery that promises one day battery life.
