Gionee M2 and the Gpad G4 have been officially launched in India. These smartphones went on sale recently. The M2 has a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and packs 4200 mAh battery. The GPad G4 has a 5.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD one-glass solution (OGS) display, powered by a  1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU,  13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and packs a 3200 mAh battery. Looks like the company is also working on their first water and dust-proof smartphone, according to new leak from the MMXNewscaster. Dhingana music streaming service shuts down

Dhingana, popular online music streaming service in India has shut down. Their official website dhingana.com doesn’t say the reason behind the shutdown. This was first reported by Medianama, which said that Dhingana CEO Rohit Bhatia told them back in December that the company was in the process of restructuring its operations, but denied that it is going to shut down. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo (GT-I9060), that went official earlier this month is launching in India next week, according to Mahesh Telecom . It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It also comes with dual SIM support and has software features such as Multi Window and Pop up Play. Motorola has finally started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update for the Dual SIM Moto G users in India. Motorola promised that the India users would get the update in a few weeks, at the launch, earlier this month. The Android 4.4.2 update was first released for the single SIM US variant first, back in December and it started rolling out in Europe, again for the single SIM variant last month. Intex launched the Aqua Octa, India’s first MediaTek Octa-Core powered smartphone last month. We already brought you the unboxing, benchmarks and the photo gallery of the Aqua Octa. Here are the camera samples. It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and full HD video recording, but the 5-megapixel front-facing camera can record videos only at VGA resolution. Airtel launches 4G on mobile, available for Apple iPhone 5s and 5c users in Bengaluru at 3G rates

Bharti Airtel has launched 4G on mobile starting from Bengaluru. Airtel announced their plans to roll out 4G LTE service on smartphones for customers in the city back in December. It also rolled out carrier settings update on the iPhone 5s and 5c that enables the 2300 MHz LTE (Band 40) on the smartphones. Few weeks back it conducted a soft launch, today it launched the service officially. Airtel, Reliance Jio, Vodafone win spectrum as auction raises Rs. 61,162 crore for Govt

The Department of Telecom (DoT) has announced the winners in the spectrum auctions in various circles that ended after 68 rounds. At the end of the 2G auction government got bids worth Rs. 61,162 crore, much higher than their target revenue of Rs. 41,000 crore. It had put 385 MHz of radio waves in the 1800 MHz band in 22 circles and 46 MHz in the 900 MHz band in 3 circles. Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (RJIL) won 1800 MHz spectrum in 14 circles across India, out of 22 circles.
