India shipped a total of 23.5 million units of smartphones in Q1 2016 registering 5.2 percent growth over the same period last year, according to the International Data Corporation’s (IDC) Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. The smartphone shipments has decreased by 8.2 percent over Q4 2015 and it has been dipping consecutively for two quarters. Made in India smartphones contribute for 67% of total shipment in Q1 2016: CMR
India shipped a total of 52.6 million handsets in Q1 CY 2016, against 55.4 million in 1Q CY 2015, registering a decline of 4% YoY, according to CMR’s India Mobile Handset Report. The QoQ decline was 12.8%.
