iBall has launched Andi Uddaan, the latest phone in the Android with safety features for women. It has a dedicated SOS button at the back of the phone to alert people, comes with ICE (In case of Emergency) that allows you to add personal details blood group, medical history, details of persons to be contacted in case emergency. and offers GPS tracking by up to 10 people. iBall is calling it India’s first safety smartphone designed for females. Nokia Lumia 525 launches in Singapore, price revealed

Nokia unveiled the Lumia 525, the company’s latest budget smartphone and the successor of the Lumia 520 last month. Nokia did not reveal the price of the phone last month. The Lumia 525 went on sale in Singapore last week at a price tag of SG$249 (~Rs. 12,280). The 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display at 235 ppi, super sensitive IPS display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor and runs on Windows Phone 8. It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with 720p HD video recording. RAM has been upgraded to 1GB from 512MB. Even thought it packs the same 1430 mAh battery, the battery life has been improved. Apple iPad Air vs iPad mini with Retina display photo gallery

iPad Air and iPad mini with retina display are Apple’s latest generation iPads. The bigger of the two – iPad Air was redesigned to be lighter, thinner and smaller than its predecessor while the smaller among the two – iPad mini with Retina display was muscled up with a better display and a much better processor making it slightly bigger and heavier. With this contradictory approach to the new generation iPads, Apple has achieved a subtle balance between its two iPads.

Oppo Find 7 to be one of the first phones with a 2K display

Oppo, the company behind awesome products like the Find 5 and N1, has just teased an upcoming feature of its yet-to-be-released Oppo Find 7. The company just confirmed that the Find 7 will sport a 2K display, which makes it one of the world’s first devices with a display of such resolution. Oppo seems to be taking the next logical step in displays on smartphones and their ever increasing pixel density. The Oppo Find 5 was one of the first devices to pack a 1080p display and it looks like the Find 7 will be one of the first with a 2K display, which is unique positioning for their new flagship, we think. It has been more than a year since the Find 5 was officially announced. It was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show & MWC last year and only then were we able to marvel at the 1080p display of the Find 5. We hope that’s the same case for the Oppo Find 7.

It has a 3.0-inch QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) display and runs on the latest Nokia Asha software platform v1.1 with Swipe UI. Notion Ink Adam II Photo Gallery and Hardware Walkthrough

We had just unboxed the Notion Ink Adam II, a sequel of the ill-fated original Notion Ink Adam, and found it to be rather surprisingly good in terms of design and build quality. It is a really neat device, and with a price tag of just Rs. 16,999 for the base WiFi version and 18,999 for the 3G version, it is a compelling product in this category. With a textbook like form factor, the Notion Ink Adam II hopes to offer users a natural reading experience, or at least a cheap and affordable 10 inch device. Notion Ink Adam, the tablet with a tumultuous past had died down after riding the initial hype wave. People called it vaporware due to the massive launch delay, but the tablet did eventually launch, but again, was marred with hardware issues. The company aims to wash away the past with a new refreshed sequel – the Notion Ink Adam II. It has been re-designed from the ground up and it now looks like a text book, which is really interesting. The box and the tablet’s default wallpaper says “It all starts with the book!” indicating that a human’s tryst with knowledge starts with a book, and may be now, it’s with a tablet, especially when the Notion Ink Adam II, which the company hopes, is an evolution of that. That’s the hope and promise the Adam II seeks to deliver. We start to find out if it does, with an unboxing and overview of the product in our labs –

LG has announced the LG Gx in Korea. This has similar specifications as the LG Optimus G Pro, but this is slightly different in its design and comes with 2.6GHz LTE support. It packs a 5.5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). LG G2 to receive Android 4.4 KitKat later this month

LG has been a little bit late in bringing software updates to its Android smartphone series, but things seemed to have changed for the South Korean manufacturer. When Google announced their latest and greatest version of Android – 4.4 KitKat in November, few people were ebullient, few were skeptical and a whole lot had only one question – “When is it coming to my phone?”. LG G2 is LG’s current flagship smartphone and rightly so, LG is giving it the treatment it deserves. Just over a 50 days since the launch of Android 4.4 KitKat, LG are announcing that the Android 4.4 KitKat update will be coming to LG G2 at the end of this month, but only in South Korea for now.
