Motorola and Verizon are all set to announce new DROID Phones – DROID Turbo 2 and DROID Maxx 2 on October 27th. Few features of both the phones have surfaced prior to the unveiling next week.
Oppo has announced the Oppo R7s smartphone in the R series at the GITEX 2015 in Dubai, as it promised. It features a 5.5-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display with 2.2mm narrow bezel, is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and runs on Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a magnesium aluminium unibody design, 2.5D Arc Edge screen and also has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It doesn’t have a finger print sensor like the Oppo R7 Plus, but it has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the R7 and the R7 Plus. Alcatel OneTouch has sent invites for the India launch of the company’s latest camera-centric Flash 2 smartphone in the country on October 20th. It was introduced last month and the main highlight of the smartphone is its 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) that would let you focus a subject in just 0.3 seconds. Apple introduced the iPhone 6s Plus smartphone at an event San Francisco last month, along with the iPhone 6s. Both the phones went on sale in India yesterday starting at Rs. 62,000 and Rs. 72,000, respectively. We managed to get the iPhone 6s Plus from the US, which was shipped to us yesterday. Sony recently confirmed the list of devices that will get Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update. It already rolled out Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) for most of its devices after it rolled out the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update.
