Google has introduced indoor Maps in India finally, that lets you determine where you are, what floor you’re on, and where to go indoors and more, when you are visiting popular venues such as malls, supermarkets etc. Google Maps for Android got the Indoor maps feature back in 2011, later it was updated to support walking directions. Huawei is announcing a lot of products at the MWC 2014 event and one among them is the new and innovative Huawei TalkBand B1. Oral B introduces World’s First Bluetooth ToothBrush for a Smart Connected Bathroom

Fleksy iOS keyboard alternative now out of beta

Back in December 2013, Fleksy Keyboard, one of the popular third party keyboards in the Android market announced an SDK for iOS apps which allows the apps to use Fleksy Keyboard inside the application. Apple imposes strict rules on third party content inside its core features and that is on of the reasons Fleksy has to be used by the developer in his application(and not by the user like in Android).

Microsoft was involved in a Trademark fight over the name “SkyDrive” and it lost. So, they had to rebrand it and from now on, Microsoft’s SkyDrive will be called as “Microsoft OneDrive”. Microsoft’s OneDrive is one among the many cloud storage options offered by big companies of the Internet – Google offers Google Drive, Dropbox, Box and many others.

Airtel launches 4G on mobile, available for Apple iPhone 5s and 5c users in Bengaluru at 3G rates

Bharti Airtel has launched 4G on mobile starting from Bengaluru. Airtel announced their plans to roll out 4G LTE service on smartphones for customers in the city back in December. It also rolled out carrier settings update on the iPhone 5s and 5c that enables the 2300 MHz LTE (Band 40) on the smartphones. Few weeks back it conducted a soft launch, today it launched the service officially. Basemark X updated to v1.1 for Android, iPhone and iPad, released for Windows Phone 8

Rightware launched the Basemark OS II cross-platform benchmarking tool for Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows Phone 8 last month. Today it updated the Basemark X cross-platform benchmarking tool to version 1.1 and has also released it on Windows Phone 8. Basemark X that was released last year was based on Unity 4.0 gaming engine, the version 1.1 Unity gaming engine version 4.2.2. This also adds new features and a new test called Hangar. As usual you get configurable settings and score breakdown in results screen in the full version. Flappy Bird is no more, pulled from Android and iOS stores

The very infamous Flappy Bird was introduced to smartphones and tablets back in 2013, but it gained widespread popularity only in the past couple of weeks. Ever since, almost everybody was complaining about the game saying that it was tough to play. A lot of raging tweets and posts filled social media. All these voices seemed to have reached the developer Dong Nguyen as he tweeted over the weekend saying that the game would be taken down within 22 hours.

Google has updated these apps to show notifications if there’s a faster route. Google maps already shows bands of red, yellow and green along your route based on traffic conditions. The new notification option now lets you reach the destination faster with dynamic rerouting so that you can avoid heavy traffic in your chosen route. Facebook Paper now available for iPhone in the US

Facebook introduced Paper, a social news aggregator last week that also lets you share you stories and view Facebook images. The app has gone live in the US for iPhone. It has the Facebook News Feed, similar to the Facebook app, but the UI is completely different from what you see in the Facebook app. It shows the feed in a different layout, similar to the Flipkart. Google opens up Chromecast for developers, makes streaming main stream

Google announced their 35$ dongle – Chromecast at the Google I/O 2013 event last year. At launch, Chromecast was restricted to US and eventually started rolling out to other countries. It is officially available in India and is priced around Rs. 3,300 from Amazon. What this Chromecast does is that it lets you stream content from your iOS or Android device or PC to your TV via WiFi.

SwiftKey comes to iOS, but plays within Apple’s rules

Sometime during the last week, we brought you information that SwiftKey will be coming to iOS pretty soon. That rumor has just transformed into official information and SwiftKey have released their application on the App Store and it is live. The application is not a stand-alone keyboard app that it is and as seen on the Google Play Store, but is more of a note-taking app.
