Google is expected to launch three Pixel devices this year. It has been reported that the company is working on two Pixel phones codenamed as Walleye and Muskie. Now, a leak from Android Open Source Project is suggesting there is a third device in making as well. All the three Pixel phone are tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor.

Today at an event in India, Google announced that it has updated Gboard for Android with support for 11 new languages to the list of 11 existing Indian languages that include Bengali, Bashkir, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Telugu and more. OPPO are investing heavily into the selfie game. There is a huge demand for selfie centric smartphones in China and lately India too has been showing similar signs. I have seen several users buying smartphones solely due to the focus on selfies. OnePlus today started rolling out OxygenOS 4.1.3 update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones. This has similar changelog as the OxygenOS 4.1.0 update that rolled out last month, and even has the same Android security patch for March, 2017, but this includes fixes for Instagram swiping bug and hardware buttons malfunction bug. Android Nougat adoption saw a strong growth in April. The latest Android OS is now present on 4.9% of all Android devices, up from 2.8% in March. Still, Nougat is still struggling to become Google’s dominant mobile platform even after almost six months of its official launch.

ZTE’s nubia brand just announced Nubia Z17 mini, its latest smartphone in the ‘Z Series’ at an event in China, as it had promised. The main highlight of the smartphone is its dual 13-megapixel rear cameras, one with monochrome lens and the other one with RGB lens, offering crisp shots. Alcatel has announced Flash, a new smartphone with four cameras, two on the front and two on the back. It has dual 13-megapixel rear cameras, one with monochrome and the other one with RGB lens to capture crisp images as well as background blur. It also has phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) for quick focus in 0.15 seconds and dual-tone LED flash. There is also a 8-megapixel + 5-megapixel front-facing cameras along with dual-tone LED flash that lets you choose different blur levels with Super Selfie Mode.
