Samsung Galaxy Camera Review


Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Camera at IFA, Berlin in August, that launched in India last week. You saw the unboxing of the Galaxy Camera recently. The Galaxy Camera is a Smart Camera that runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super Clear Touch LCD Display. Flipkart launches Flyte eBooks for Android

Flipkart has launched Flyte eBooks for Android. The company launched Flyte MP3 downloads earlier this year along with a Flyte MP3 Android app. The new Flyte eBooks for Android that lets you download eBook on your Android device from a collection of over 60,000 paid books and about 4000 free eBooks. You can sign in to your Flipkart account, add money to your wallet and start buying the book from the app or purchase it online. Unlike the Amazon’s Kindle format (.azw or .mobi), this uses Flipkart’s propitiatory format (.fkb). You can download each Flipkart eBook to a maximum of six devices, similar to Amazon Kindle books. Adblock Plus for Android released, Blocks ads in Mobile Browsers and Apps

Adblock Plus, popular ad-block extension / add-on on Firefox and Chrome is now available for Android. It blocks ads on most Apps and Browser over Wi-Fi even if you are not rooted. You need a rooted Android phone for ad blocking over 2G / 3G. It does not allow ads to be blocked on SSL encrypted websites. According to the Adblock site, the Android app only blocks ads Firefox and Opera browsers, but we tried it on the default Android browser and Chrome, and it worked fine. ZengaTV for Android gets new UI and HD Live TV Streaming

ZengaTV has updated the ZengaTV app for Android that brings new user interface (UI) with Social media integration and HD Live TV Streaming for select channels, which you can enable from settings. It also has Dynamic categories with search optimized directory listings, Personalized Playists to add lists of favorite channels. AnTuTu Benchmark 3.0 for Android released, brings new UI, better performance and more

AnTuTu Benchmark app has been updated to version 3.0.1. AnTuTu Labs previewed the features of the latest app last week, now it is available for download from the Google Play. This brings new features including enhanced memory direct read and write tests, new 2D test with better 2D rendering, OpenGL ES 2.0 for 3D Test, Redesigned and adjustment app UI and more. Most of the Benchmarking apps have been updated recently. Rightware launched Browsermark 2.0 few weeks back, and Vellamo 2.0 was launched few months back. 3D Mark is expected next month. Lava XOLO A700 Dual SIM phone with 1GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 coming soon

Lava has started teasing their upcoming XOLO A700 on their Facebook page. Looks like the X series is for Intel phones and the A series is for Android phones that are powered by ARM processors.It has a 4.5inch (960 x 540 pixels) 16M color capacitive touch screen IPS display and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash at the back and a VGA front-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy Camera launched in India for Rs. 29,900


Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy Camera in India. It was first unveiled at  IFA in Berlin in August, and Samsung announced couple of months back that it would launch in India this month. Samsung started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Camera few weeks back. The 16 Megapixel camera has 21x Optical Zoom Lens with BSI CMOS sensor. It packs in a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super Clear Touch Display with 308 ppi and is powered by a 1.4 GHz Quad-Core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). What’s new in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

Penta T-Pad WS802C-2G 8-inch Android tablet with Voice calling launched for Rs. 8299

Pantel Technologies has launched T-Pad WS802C-2G, their new tablet with built-in SIM card slot for voice calling and 2G connectivity. It has a 8-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with and is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has WiFi and 3G support via USB Dongle for data connectivity. Lava IRIS N320 Dual SIM Android Smartphone launched for Rs. 3999

Lava Mobiles has launched IRIS N320, their new Dual SIM Android phone in the IRIS series, followed by the IRIS N350. Features of the IRIS N320 are similar to the N350 including a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) Capacitive multi-touch display, 1GHz processor and Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread). It has a 2 Megapixel camera with LED flash at the back, but lacks a front-facing camera that was present in the N350. This doesn’t have 3G support similar to the IRIS N350. GTA: Vice City coming to select Android and iOS devices on December 6th for $4.99


Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City would be available for select new generation iOS and Android devices on December 6th for $4.99. They are celebrating 10th anniversary of their popular game by launching it on iOS and Android. The game would include several enhancements unique to Android and iOS devices similar to the GTA III including native high-resolution graphics, custom controls and more. They have also announced the list of devices that would support the game. Skype for Android v3.0 update brings new Tablet UI, Improved audio

Microsoft launched the Preview version of the Skype for Windows Phone 8 was launched last week, now the Skype for Android app has been updated to version 3.0. This version has new User Interface (UI) that is optimized for large screen on tablets. This would make it easy to make a voice or video call and send messages with the new split screen interface on tablets. This version also has improved audio quality with a new wideband audio codec, option to merge your Skype account with your Microsoft account and more new features.
